The Jedi Council in TPM

Has anyone had a good look at the makeup of the council in TPM? Really, besides Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi, I have never see a bigger collection of silly looking retards. These are supposed to be Jedi? Check out the SW.com databank in relation to some of them. It's really sad in comparison to the Council seen in AotC and RotS. In TPM it's basically a collection of really bad puppets (Yoda included, sadly). Can you imagine the hilariously named
Yarael POOF for example, fighting in the Clone Wars?

Doesn't really make them much of a Jedi Master does it? lol

Err I guess a plausible explanation would be that Jedi Masters aren't necessarily great warriors.. they might have gotten there due to their accomplishments in spiritual research with the Force, or their abilities as leaders outside of war.
Yoda and Mace just so happen to be all three.. warriors, leaders, and insightful in matters of the Force.

Jedi masters are chosen for wisdom and experience not power.
They didnt allow Anakin onto the council even before Palpatines appointing despite his being the 3d most powerful Jedi in the order.

Meh, had they been CGI they would have been obviously better, but is this really that hard to bear? Wasnt there something about Krayt Dragons once being Jedi in the old, old, old, old ages?
Yarael Poof and a good deal of the rest of the council in TPM have a large role in Cloak of Deception. Yarael even gets down and dirty with a little lightsabre action. Obviously its easier to fathom in text, but it does go some way in furthering the plausibility of them as warriors.
The only problem I have with the puppets in general is there relation to the movie when contrasted to the CGI heavy-characters and enviroments. This is perhaps by main problem with puppet-yoda in TPM, although i'm not really anal about that either.

It didn't really distract me when I watched it. By the way, exactly how many of the same Jedi's stayed on the council, I always assumed it was the same Jedi's through all 3 movies, I guess I was wrong though.

The only Jedi seen in TPM who remain on the council in AotC and RotS are, IIRC, Yoda, Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi.
Of course, 10 years passed in between TPM and AotC- the Council possibly has a rotating membership.

Plo Koon and Saesee Tiin as well, IIRC.

I have the Scrap book which names them and provides pictures. The worst member, I think was yaddle, the she-yoda. Pathetic. can't even come up with an origional name...

I hadn't ever heard that one, sounds like something from a DnD campaign idea.

He may be referring to the Duinuogwuin, or "star dragons," which are reputedly the smarter "cousins" of the Krayt Dragons. Read more about them here: +

Eh, she had a good backstory in one of the Star Wars Tales comics...

Worse I remember the rumor that the Yoda species name was actually "Yiddle."

I can only remember Mace Windu, Yoda, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin, Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, Stass Allie, there's one Ongree which might be Pablo-Jill from AOTC, and Anakin Skywalker. That's 12, but with Anakin did it make them 13 in number?

Eh, didn't Jazz just mention that it was "Yaddle"? Still, I would've thought that the idea of another member of Yoda's species of any gender should have generated more interest than it did.

An important possibility that no one considered earlier, oddly enough. It's possible that they were no longer on the council, but were still alive and well.

Anakin was only a technical member of the council due to Palpatine's orders but it still counts as a member of the council so yes.
