Quick Praetor-class question

Post by Kazuaki Shimazaki »

Who has the ITW:OT?

http://www.theforce.net/swenc/entrydesc ... arch=47417
Praetor-class Star Battlecruiser

Category: Ship Types
Type: Cruiser

this outdated warship was produced during the Old Republic, although a few specimens survived during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
I want to know whether this was ever said or implied. Quotes, if possible.

Thanks.

Not in the book as far as I could tell.

I don't have the book, and only know about the Praetor-class from reading forums. From what I've read at TF.net, there is no indication that the Praetor-class is outdated. I don't know where the guy who writes the CUSWE got that from.

The book actually suggests that it's an Imperial era ship.

TFN quite plainly manufactures facts in their encyclopedia. It´s silly, but what can you do?

From the ITW:OT
Droid access tunnel to base main reactors: stolen parts from a derelict Praetor-class Star Battlecruiser
I asked The Lord, "Why hath thou forsaken me?" And He spoke unto me saying, "j00 R n00b 4 3VR", And I was like "stfu -_-;;"

I thought the CUSWE was the work of one man, and that the site is just hosted on TF.net like Saxton's site is. Am I wrong?

Anyway, the guy who writes the articles is an EU/WEG repeater, who doesn't bother with visuals or doing any kind of analysis. Unless it's been spelled out in words, he doesn't put it in. While I don't have any hard evidence, I suspect he might have anti-Saxton leanings. There's the unsupported statement about the Praetor-class being some obsolete piece of crap, his continual use of the 5 mile fallacy, and a refusal to call the Executor a "Star Dreadnaught," even though he's aware of ITWotSWT.

The CUSWE is a great resource for story information and trivia, but I don't trust it on anything that requires a bit of analysis.
