Over at SW.com, they provide a rundown of the Star Wars presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Lucasfilm's Head of Fan Relations Steve Sansweet revealed that the Alliance deleted scene will be featured in the November DVD release of RotS.
Its still unclear whether the scene will be re-incorporated into the movie or merely featured separately as a deleted scene.

These shots look great! Can't wait for the DVD release!

Is that supposed to be Mon Mothma on the bottom? If it is she looks WAY too old!

It is Mon Mothma. I recognize the costume and the metal headgear from the action figure. She must have aged gracefully.

I think that picture is just taken from a bad angle. She didn't look so old in the Visual Dictionary.

The actress is very young, it's just the picture. I wonder, did they fully finish all the shots in the scene before they were cut, or were they cut before they were done, and then fixed for the DVD?
I want to see the scene where Padme's delegation meets Palpatine, with Anakin next to him.

I would prefer to see Anakin versus the Librarian, but they probably didn't even shoot that.

Yeah same here. But they do have that scene in the Episode III game. It shows a cutscene where Anakin confronts Jocasta Nu in the Archive room. He demands access to the Temple Beacon. She retorts that only the Council can authorize such a request.
Anakin quickly responds with his lightsaber. Pretty cool, even its only a video game.

Well colour me disappointed that there weren't any concrete announcements this weekend at the Con concerning the DVD, at least, nothing with any substance...

Was that in the script? It was awesome in the game.
One scene that I know was in the script, and which I think was shot, was Anakin killing Shaak-Ti in the the Jedi Temple. I'm annoyed they didn't have that in the film, though it can be implied that he killed her from the novelization.
It seems clear from the link that the above Rebel Alliance scene was completed for the DVD and was not fully complete when it was cut from the film. Cool.

They should shot the alternate ending from the Episode III game. That would be badass.

I thought it was rather lame.

For those not in the know, how does the alternate ending go?

Anakin kills Obi-Wan and kicks him into the lava, then kills Palpatine when he lands on Mustafar, claiming the Galaxy for his own. And it's all lame!!

I need the names of all characters present for my Jedi purge WEG SW game. The Jedi just rescued another Padawan-on-the-run mere minutes before the 3 Acclamators arrived (a Venator was already there, but hadn't been able to fully lock down the cities). They then "recruited" Major Okina, a VERY recently retired (just a few days before the end of the war) Republic Intelligence Officer with current knowledge of "Imperial" fleet compositions and places of interest.
And now I have faces to work with, I just need some names as well to flesh out some of the other "leaders".

I don't see Garm Bel Iblis in that picture. EU takes another kick to the nuts.
Mike: From what I understand, there was no fight between Anakin and Jocasta, he pretty much just stabbed her in the chest and walked off.
I wouldn't mind seeing what happened to Depa Billaba.

I know. The point of that scene isn't a fight; it reveals more of Anakin's motivations. A scene of him stepping over her body, taking the restricted Jedi holocrons, and holding them up in the air, his eyes gleaming in triumph would go a long way to establishing more of what drives him.

You just want to see an old woman gutted. Its the Sith way.

Anakin versus the Librarian
I think that was just a joke for the game, never written or shot by the film crew.

They probably didn't, but it went further in his motivation, and was such a bold and bald move by Anakin, I loved seeing it in the game.
Disobeying the Council that easily was great, but the whole grabbing her and shoving her onto his blade via TK was great in both effect and sheer display of power.

I never liked that scene and I was glad it got dropped. How could she be sitting there meditating, getting in touch with the Force, when the Jedi Temple was literally
dying all around her?

Nice to see that the leader of the Rebellion is safe from culliflower ears.

Bel Iblis didn't enter the fold until later, from what I can tell. From the internal monologue we get from him in "Interlude ar Darknell," it seems as if he only gradually became disallusioned wih Palp's new Empire.

I don't recall exactly where, but I heard something about an unfilmed scene in the Jedi Archives..
Before his appointment to the council, Anakin tries to gain access to the portion of the Jedi Archives that is reserved for Masters, in the hope of finding information that would let him prevent Padme's death, only to be stopped by the Librarian. I'm not sure if this scene was ever planned, but it makes the refusal to make Anakin a Master (when he's put on the council) much, much more poignant; the title, had it been conferred to him, would have allowed him access.
A scene with the Librarian's killing would then have been perfect.
I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere on the forums here.. was it ever a real planned scene in some script draft, or was it just what-if conjecture?
I guess the problem is that all this would give Anakin's actions a tad bit too much justification. Not enough to make anyone think he isn't evil, mind you, but a too much.
Regarding the topic, I sure hope those scenes are shown as Deleted Scenes at the very least. I wonder why they were cut... could it be because the movie ended up looking like it had too many OT "tie-ins"?
