I might want the NJO to be made into a movie, but with a few changes.

Get rid of the organic technology! The SW movies are too good for that sci-fi chic! Keep the YV species, anatomy, technology, and motives the same, but change the ships! And, if a character is out of character from the SW film, change that. And get the orgional cast members to play their characters again.

I think it would be interesting to see SbS made into a movie. I think it would be a fun one. I also liked the Heir to the Empire trilogy (who didn't), and I think those could easily be converted.

Oh and its here somewhere I wrote a jam packed Hier to the Empire script that would get all the important things yep keep the movie like ESB, Action Action, WAM PLOT Oww! ACTION!, More plot... And some action then finish up with plot and move onto the much easier to condense into a script DFR and TLC(Birigi Ship-yard attack of coruse in TLC would be the big kick ass woop ass battle as it is near the EXACT same situation as what happend at Endor(And Endor was good) Lone team fights impossible odds on ground(Except this one is good, Luuke Fights Luke(You would pay to see that fight) then crazy Jedi Master shows why he has that CRAZY and MASTER quaility in his name as he nearly kills them after
And just like with the Shield Falling in Endor you get the Descrution of the Cloning Facilites and Rukh's betraly and the murder of Thrawn right after and the PERFECT time to show that mixed emoutions on Peolleon's Face when Thrawns dead and he orders the Retreat.

They would make kick arse movies better than anything else

The OT actors are far too old to reprise their roles now and I for one would have zero interest in recasted Han Solo for example.

We could give it a desent shot at least and how would a movie turn out where the actors are rasied from birth to do thier parts?

I know it wasn't the most popular book, but I would like to see Shadows of The Empire. I thought Xizor was the coolest dude. The enviroments were well built up seeing as they had a book, comic book, video game and action figuers, a lot of artistic minds went behind it. I think it would make a cool animated feature or something like that.

The original actors would be good for an NJO based movie. Although one can argue that Harrison Ford will always be able to play Han Solo.

I hated that novel. The idea that Vader had a rival is frightening in its stupidity.

Agreed... just like Sean Connery would always be able to pull off the role of James Bond, even if he did it from a walker.

The problem with the Thrawn trilogy is that they would try to fit it into 2 hour movies and end up cutting out some of the good stuff. With DE we already have the screne by screne images to go by.

I would say that they did a reasonably good job with The Lord of the Rings, thus far. With that book, though, it was easier because they could cut things in the Shire, Lothlorien, and Tom Bombadil without losing much. I heard for the DVD, though, that they're adding in another half hour. Some people said the movie was long as it was, but I didn't mind.

Tom was the shmit, they should have kept him.

The question is, if they do make such a movie, when will it be made? Will they wait 20 years after Episode III? Will they make it a few years after EpIII?

But seriously, the only thing that really makes any sense are the first three Zahn books. I would go with them to be made into a movie. Every thing else is Solo babies this, Mara jade that, yadda yadda yadda...

The series i want made into a movie has the be The New Jedi Order. not only can the original actors play in them but the NJO has a good story line. Since the NJO starts 25 years after Episode 4 just like in real life. The only problem lies in Vector Prime who seemed a little to Treky for me as well as other SW fans.

Most of the EU is not worthy of filming. I like it, but many either are stupid, would not make a good movie, or really are just stupid . Dont get me wrong, i like the EU...but most of it is just not movie quality. TTT would work great, with WORK, JAT could do. Maybe HoT could be converted to three parts and made into episodes 7-9, they finish things well. Other than those...DE would work.
