Who scored more bountys? By this, I mean who brought more people in, not more money.

Boba... since Boba lived longer... and logically: Scored more Bounty.

Jango also taught Boba to be better than he was.

Ah, Jango is about forty-ish, thirtyish in the movies-- he certainly wasn't no spring chicken. I also incline to the proposition that Boba actually died in the Pit of Carkoon, as I don't appreciate Fettwank; he would've been... hmm... well, call him around ten or so as of AoTC, with a period of roughly twenty-more or less- years between that and ANH, he'd be in his mid- to late thirties. So they actually balance out age-wise.

Now, if we accept the EU, then this versus suffers from the lack of evidence towards Jango's side-- however, he was notorious enough to be the first person Dooku approached for a clone template. Boba, on the other hand-- while he certainly lives longer, and brings in a fair few bounties that we see (including a few pirates, Kardue'sai'malloc, and Han Solo), he doesn't show any particular improvement in skill. Reputation, certainly-- but Jango has that whole Mandalorian Warrior thing going for him, and while we don't hear too much about him, I wouldn't find it too improbable that Dooku pulled a Kamino on his files in the Jedi Archives.

Then you've just invalidated about half of his canonical accomplishments. Great work, sport.

It is pretty unbelievable that a halfway-decent bounty hunter...in vac-sealed armor...with a freakin' *armory* secreted on his person, died to a giant sandworm. Even without the jetpack or his regular blaster to aid him, I thought it made a lot more sense for him to escape than to get munched - especially with the whole "digested over 1,000 years" schtick.

Now, as for who actually brought in more bounties...Boba probably racked up a good number more than his dad, thanks to opportunity - he was one of the Empire's favored bounty hunters (and they had a LOT of people to hunt), as well as a top-ranked hunter for the Hutts.

Jango took the last ten years of his life or so off (for the most part) to raise his son; he may have taken missions now and then, but we can't expect him to have been taking bounties as often as he would have otherwise.

Boba also became Mandalore, something that Jango never managed. I'd give Boba the win for life accomplishments at least.

Now, how would Jango had done if he hadn't suddenly met with Mace Windu?

And how would Boba have fared against him?

Personally, I don't see enough of an effective difference between the two to say. They're basically interchangeable -- identical DNA and equipment, very similar skills.

Boba for the most part knew not to engage a Jedi at close range having learned from the mistake of his father. I would see Boba using the advise of HK 47 in combating Jedi. Use mines, sniper rifles and other ranged or remote detonated weapons.

I hate to point out the obvious, but he didn't. He zoomed right over to Luke and got his arse handed to him. After that he followed HK-47's recommendations.

In Boba's defense, *how* long had it been since he'd even seen a living Jedi?
And even after closing to melee range, he still almost bested Luke with that smartrope.

not really i mean in my opinion the scene is like this "Luke is swinging around than Boba jumps in ties his wrists together, Luke looks down and simply twists his wrists and cuts the cord, Luke never gave it a sweat

According to the novelization IIRC, Luke couldn't hit the smartrope with the saber. He was saved when he managed to deflect a blaster shot behind Boba, knocking the bounty hunter off balance.

A little while. He did take Darth Vader on that one time.
