Does anyone else see anything wrong with naming a medical droid "chopper?"

the article eu wrote:Galactic Chopper" from wry clone commanders who saw it in action during the Clone Wars.
It was the source of much black humor: its name stems from its primary function of installing cybernetic implants, prosthetic limbs and synthetic organs.
Also adding to its rough reputation is the fact it was manufactured by Ubrikkian, a corporation known for its heavy utility vehicles, not for precision medical technology.
Sounds lovely, it's a wonder that Vader survived it

So it's confirmed that the V-wing was designed by Blissex, and is essentially the predecesor of the A-wing. The Essential Chronology says that Dodonna the codesigner of the A-wing was a Republic Star Destroyer captain but doesn't mention the class of SD seems to me a strong possiblity that Dodonna commanded a Venator. Especially since his rank in the RA is General, and he commands essentially a fighter base, which would seems to indicate his rank applies to the Starfighter Corps of the RA military.

Commander Dodonna was part of republic attack to Cato Nemodia and seem to command a Venator in "Labyrinth of Evil"

Indeed his rank of "Commander" in LoE and his consequential rank of "General" in ANH is puzzling. Commanders and Generals are not in the same branch of the military. Unless "Commander" was purly honorific in LoE, and he was truly some sort of Air-Force-esqe rank.

or Commander mean Wing Commander (an RAF rank (and possibly also some other airforces that are not linked to the UK))

Commander probably did mean Wing Commander, because that was Wedge's rank when he was in command of Rogue Squad. He was subsequently promoted to General. This suggests that the Rebel Starfighter Corps and perhaps the Republic SFC use a hybrid of the rl UK and US systems. From the EU the SFC rank structure seems to be:
General
(Wing) Commander
Captain
(Flight) Lieutenant
Flight Officer

There might be another lieutenant rank, and there are probably several grades of general as in rl.

Commander could actually be honorary for "Commodore". Dodonna had been a captain in the Republic Navy since at least 30 months after the Battle of Geonosis, as Star Wars: Republic -- Dreadnaughts of Rendili (#69-71) portrays Captain Dodonna as the skipper of the Acclamator II-class frigate Sundiver with Commander Addar Tallon serving as his XO. By the time of the Battle of Cato Neimoidia -- dated 35 months ABG -- in Labyrinth of Evil Dodonna is the "commander" of three Star Destroyers alluding that he has probably been promoted.
