Three headstones?

If it has been discussed before, please forget this topic.
As I watched the AoTC yesterday, I've noticed that there're three headstones in the scene when Anakin is burying his mother.
One of the three headstones is definitely Shmi's.
What about the other two?
They seem much older graves.
Any idea?

Yeah...
Those are probably Cliegg's parents, or some other older residents. I think with the entire Lars Homestead sequence in AOTC, they were going for a Wild Wild West feeling, and a family plot in the backyard is just another part of that environment.

One of the headstones is Anakins dad! Yeah, I know someone who knows someone who screwed a guy who sucked another guy who worked for a guy who knew a girl who dated another guy who used to work as a janitor at LucasFilm and he said it was!

That was actually very funny!

They are probably neighboring farmers who were killed in the pursuit of the Tusken raiders, and Cliegg and Co. buried them.

Yes...could be.
But why would you bury someone stranger in your backyard.
I mean they have their house as well, so I think under those two headstones must be someone relative to the Lars family.
Obi-one has a bad habit, "bringing everything" to Tatooine, to the Lars family. (Luke and Leia)
Maybe after he sliced Darth Maul into two pieces, he buried the parts there.
So one stone for the upper part, one for the legs...

He couldn't, Darth Mauls upper and lower sections fell down that shaft. If the tombstones are old, then they might be Anakins grand parents.

Dude, you really took it seriously?
I was just joking with Maul's parts!

You know the old saying "Before you start on the road to revenge dig two graves." Well you got one for his Mom, and two left.
Of course they are really probably for older family members. Like a poor man's family crypt.

Pfft they're Beru's and Owen's from a time warp that'll be explained in Episode 3
Honestly who knows...but from the looks of it Cliegg's parents

What about Cliegg's previous wife. Owen came from somewhere ya know.

Could be. I was just thinking.. now that I've read the novel and listening to the dialouge again...
30 of them went after Shmi, and only four came back (right?).
In the novel, Anakin goes off and comes upon the campsite of the other three (other than Cliegg, who had to go home because of his leg) who were starting back on the trail of the Tuskens (a la, the Searchers).
All dead.
So Anakin basically avenges the murder of 30 people, rather than just one, but it still doesn't justify killing the women and children. ; p
I agree with the assesment of the other graves being older family members who had passed away. It's nice to finally see a non-Jedi funeral in Star Wars too, canon I mean. ; )

It's possible but he doesn't seem to be all that upset or concerned. Besides, I always thought that the Lars family wasn't blood kin.
Besides, she couldn't possibly be the mother of Owen. He was already about Anakin's age and we know he was an only child as of TPM.

He was her stepson.

Perhaps it will be cleared up in the next movie.

It's mentioned in the Novelisation that Owen was running arround when Mr. Lars met Shimi, she thought it was her main reason for agreeing to marry him, Owen was the same age as Annie.
Those Extra Gravestones...

Two extra graves? Too easy. Cliegg's former wife died trying to give birth to another child. The big headstone is hers, the half-size one the dead baby's. Happened to a lot of pioneer families, even here on Earth.
Either that, or it's Cliegg's former wife and his leg.

Hehehe...
Clieg's leg....
