Reinforcements at ROTS Jedi Temple battle

In ROTS we see Yoda and Obi wan slaughtering the clone troopers guarding the Jedi temple after Order 66 has occurred. The clone troopers were being utterly decimated by the two Jedi and had no chance of stopping them. Why did they not call backup? If the Republic army had pounded the area with heavy weaponry that would have brought a swift end to Yoda and Obiwan. I doubt they could survive squadrons of LAATs, star fighters, and heavy artillery attacking them.

They probably didn't have a chance, or the jedi were moving to quickly to track down, also it is possible that there wouldn't be any artillery on Coruscants surface.

There were only 37,000 clones in the garrison. They didn't have any more, all were in the temple.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Most of the Clone forces had been diverted to protect the full senate session where Palpatine declared himself Emperor (as indicated by Yoda's dialoge on the Tantive IV.) In all likelihood, since the two were moving fast and not actively seeking out what clone forces remained, they were just thought to be a few more Jedi who had slipped through first sweep, and could be eliminated easily if they after risking attacks on a few patrols. The fact that Palpatine didn't order an orbital or artillery bombardment of the Temple either instead of Anakin and the 501st, or directly after their first sweep, indicated that he wants the structure intact, perhaps for the Jedi and Sith holocrons within.

Yeah, it could be (out of universe) that Lucas had already established that the Temple still existed post ROTJ, so he couldn't destroy it.
Then again, when has that ever stopped Lucas before? At least he tried for consistency for once.
But it makes one wonder...

Didn't they say in one of the Thrawn books that the Emperor turned the Jedi temple into the Imperial Palace?

no, that was in one of the infinities.
And the temple is visable in the ROTJ coruscant scene

It is highly unlikely but could it be possible for the Jedi to use the Force to interfere with Clonetrooper radio communications ?

Stop a Clonetrooper from talking? Certainly. Interfere with radio waves? Ummmm.... if you go by *some* of the EU... maybe... but I seriously doubt they're *that* good, certainly not in the ROTS time period.

Even clone troopers need some time to make a useful report. They also walk instead of teleporting into the area. I'd say the two Jedi got in, cut down any troopers in the way and left again too fast for any response team to pinpoint them.
"Group Red 17 attacked by aaaaarrrghh!"
"Please repeat."
Once the response team get to Red 17 the Jedi are alredy through a few more groups somewhere else.

That's how it's described in the novelization, basically. All the clonetroopers ever see are flickers of brown robes, blurs of motion, and every now and then they find slice-n-diced clonetroopers in one of the more remote hallways when patrols fail to report back...

IIRC the stealth attacks of Obi-wan and Yoda were so successfull that the Clonetrooper almost started to think that the Temple was Haunted (that's only in the Novelization though).

Did the Kaminoans tell them ghost stories before sending them to sleep?

no, infact just the opposite clones taught to be pragmatic, materialistic and complettely impervivous to superstition, but when all the Jedi you see are dead and your fellow troopers still end up being killed by Jedi.
EDIT: The Clonetrooper were probaly bored to hell of having to inspect room after another that's either empty or has dead Jedi in it and there has not been any contact with a living Jedi for hours. And you get get raports of flashes of brown robes or your fellow trooper ending up dead, but still no comfirmed contact with a jedi.
