Star Wars Animated Series.
“The animation is being done right now as we speak," McCallum stated, "[That work] is being done here at the Ranch. A lot of the effects will be done in Singapore.

Sounds like Lucasfilm and Co. are still busy as ever even with the end of the last Star Wars feature film. Of course this is absolutely good news, just as long as they don't fuck up the live action series. *crosses fingers*

Looking good, Spielberg should be involved, excuse me, I need to listen to the theme song (again) .

The only really worrying part is the live action and the risk of "forehead of the week" budget syndrome, still this could be either the best or the worst thing to ever happen to SW.
The CGI clone wars series should be awesome, I hope they use uber jedi CW abilites (Despite that being a propaganda during the NR)

Can't wait to see any famous EU locations on-screen. Please have Nar Shaddaa, pleasepleaseplease.

This is nothing new, as AOTC and ROTS were previously filmed there.

And here I thought Indy 4 was canned.

Sorry if this is a little off from the thread topic, but would it be in line with the purpose of this forum if a sticky thread were to be made that held a compilation of all the information we have on the upcoming Star Wars TV serial?

How right you are. And those exprerienced actors are usually over seas filming their own movies. (Im Australian by the way)
And most of them are "adopted" aussies, like Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving, Russell Crow etc.....they were born in Hawaii & Austin, Nigeria
and New Zealand respectively!

So is Star Wars Live Action in trouble??? Quite possibly.....

AOTC & ROTS were filmed here in Australia because it is MUCH cheaper to make a movie down here. The movies didn't suffer (well...it didn't suffer because of Australia) because Lucas brought the entire team over here. However,I don't think this will happen for the TV series, for obvious budget reasons.....

They said elsewhere they'll film all over the world, using Australia as a base of operations. :P

Meh. Despite the feeling of many, I have no real problems with the Episode I Yoda muppet. This feels more like an attempt to make a few more bucks with a new DVD and if this does happen, however, then I'll further sympathize with those that saw the OT in theaters and hate the SE/DVD.

Harrison is over 60. Thats too old to be Indy and anyone else in the role would just be...wrong.

I think Lucas was either writing the first 13 episodes for the animated or the live action series, so I don't suspect any 'Star Trek' flavour eps in the show.

I don't. Actually I think there's quite a bit of excitement over the topic in the industry.

Oh, in case you're wondering: the 3D process only worked theatrically and only then with specifically designed projectors (IIRC). It is impossible to produce on the current standard of home video and theatre hardware.

It was said to have an interesting effect on the film as every single artifact was being projected outward, so they spotted details in the picture they hadn't seen before. I'm looking forward to this, if I ever get to see it

When he interviewed Harrison Ford, Conan Obrien had the fantastic premise for Indy 4. "Indiana Jones and the Comfy Bed", where people just bring the treasure to Indy, who tells them where to put it. I'm sold on it

If they have Tom Hanks playing the lead in The Da Vinci code, I think they could probably pull off Ford one more time.

I've been hearing for about a year and a half about Indy four, and saw and read a little about it in Disney land. Apparently, they started on the script, but all three have to agree on it.

They can always just have Indy play his true age. In the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles he was still tring to do stuff in his really late years when he was telling his stories. This could be his adventure when he decides to finally takie it easy since he's getting a bit long in the tooth.

That would actually be a good and interesting twist. I know the "Jones" movies have been constant action, but Ford is getting old. And I would enjoy seeing a film that actually touches on the subgect with perhaps someone younger standing in for the "brash adventurer" You could even have jokes along the lines of:

"Oh god, I'm getting like Dad!"

The DaVinci Code doesn't have too many big stunts in it the way a typical Indiana Jones film does.

It has a fair number still. Not as much as Angels and Demons though I suppose. That book was a veritable Indian Jones movie.
