Have you watched all 6 movies back to back yet?

Ok, with the release of ROTS, who's watched all 6 movies in the correct order now, at home (or wherever) straight through, without skipping scenes or advancing to your favorite parts? Any particular thoughts after seeing them back-to back?

I havent watched them all back to back to back to back to back to back yet but ever since AOTC came out i always thought that Anakin should have said like "woah" When he and Padme open that door to the conveyer belt on Geonosis when they almost fell off like when Luke did when he and Leia had a similar problem in ANH

My father has but I haven't, yet. I plan to do it before I go back to school on Monday.

Seeing Anakin's descent and rise might be interesting, plus I just like the movies. I'll come back when I have done so to share my thoughts on how it flows.

I have to wait until the box set comes out in a few years. As soon as I get it though I'm going to send a full day doing this.

Haven't yet, but that is my plan for tomorrow. Felt like a good way to spend the day off. Though it will difficult to pay attention to all of TPM.

When the SE came out about 8 years ago, I watched those three back to back. I can't find the commitment nowadays to set aside my time to watch all six back to back, although it's on my list of things I eventually want to do.

I did it starting with ANH and ending on the release of ROTS. It was good to watch the original trilogy first.

Edit: Well I guess I didnt watch it inorder but it was still pretty good the way I did it.

I've never done all 6 on the same day, but I've done the PT and the OT on consecutive days.

What's considered to be the better way to view the saga? OT first, or Episode 1 to 6?

When RotS hit theatres, that very same topic was discused at length. Extreme length.

To sum it up, there are people who belong to either camp. However, this thread is here to discuss the viewing of the movies in numerical order. Also, that's the way Lucas intends them to be viewed. So aaanyway..

Nope, not yet. But it's definitely on my agenda!

Me and my housemates did a marathon viewing of all six films back to back, about a month ago (pirate EP3).

We were meant to start at 2 in the afternoon, but got delayed until 5. We didn't finish until 7 in the morning but it was worth it.

We watched the first 3 and were like, "Well it's only 12 (or 1,can't remember) lets watch Ep 4". Then we were like "Well we've started we might as well finish." Then we finished ESB at just after 5 in the morning and we were all tired (one of us was asleep, no medal for that guy) but we decided to man up and take it on. Finally finished the marathon just after 7 in the morning and we were all shattered.

There you go, Star Wars marathon. The only breaks we had were 5 minutes between each film to go to the toilet and about half an hour between AOTC and ROTS when some of us went to get some more booze and munchies and the rest of us watched a bit of Match of the Day.

As a house bonding exercise it worked perfectly.

Particular thoughts:

- Make sure you reserve a comfy seat.
-Make sure you have plenty of chocolate, sweets and other snacks.
-Get a take out for dinner.
-If your going on into the night make sure yu can last or get some coffee if you need it.
-If a persons eyes are closed for more than 5 minutes they are considered to be asleep and therefore ineligable for the prize. (Quote of the night: "What happened to ESB?")
-Tell the girlfriends to stay away, unless they're really into it.
-NEVER AGAIN....... unless we can start on time or earlier.

We did a Lord of the Rings (extended editions) marathon last year, so the next marathon is probably going to be a light weight one like Indianna Jones, and after that maybe the Godfather.

After the LOTR maratheon I'm ready for the SW if Death is.

The main issue is that of breaks. You have to keep a lid on them.

No, not yet. ROTS was released on the 9th here in Sweden, so I haven't had a chance yet. When I do that, I'll be seeing the movies in numerical order.

Did it last Saturday. With the assitance of my associates and floor RA, we took over the building's lobby, complete with comfy couches and a wide-screen television.

My original schedule called for 5 minutes between each films, but we ended up going 10-15 (with half an hour after the halfway mark for pizza). As a result, though we started at 10:30 in the morning, we finished at 1:30 A.M rather than 12:30 A.M as I have originally projected.

As for my thoughts? Well, it was odd seeing the films all the way-through for the first time in quite a while. The story was uneven in certain regards, but it was still entertaining and truly worth our time to see the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker.

I did it the day ROTS came out with some friends. I watched the first two, went to the theater, came back and watched 4-6. It pays off because the movies get better the longer you watch. :D

My upstairs in-house neighbor has but I have not, the ironic thing is he borrowed my DVDs to do it. I'll do it during my Thanksgiving vacation maybe. I think it'll be cool once blu-ray DVDs come out, because then all six movies will fit on a single disc and they could just segue one right into the other.

Would you watch the Clone Wars animated series between 2 and 3?

I'm aware of the discrepancies between LoE and CW, but I'm asking anyway. The CW series does have some nice action.

Hell yes, the second season provides the back story to Coruscants invasion and Greviouses coughing.

We debated whether or not to show Clone Wars and ended up voting against it for three reasons:

1. The second season hadn't been released on DVD yet (though we could have downloaded it, I admit).

2. The additional two hours would have meant that we kept watching until 3 A.M. I wasn't going to ask that of everyone; we all needed to sleep.

3. We can try again, but this time, focus soley on the films.

Be sure to stick "The Star Wars Holiday Special" between ANH and ESB. ;)
