Station analysis - for RPG.

I've designed a large "trading post" type station for an upcoming SW RPG game and wanted to run the specifics of it past this wonderful group of geeks to get and idea about what people thought.
Sunspire Station, was constructed at the intersection of two minor trade routes in the outer core area of the galaxy.
It is a large station similar in overall shape to Babylon 5 (vaguely), though of course without the solar panels and long pointless tail section. It sits vertically in orientation with a "penthouse" and "CCC" section at the very top, below that is a massive drum shaped docking/cargo area, with the core/hub of it being a both cargo storage (50,000,000m^3 worth) and a "trading" area, and below that are the multitude of other dwelling, commercial and engineering/maintenance areas that the station requires.
The station has life-support capacity for 500,000 (standard) and can sustain up to 2,000,000 in emergencies. There are consumables for approx. 20 years onboard as a "strategic reserve". The station is crewed by 5,000 workers with much higher number of droids assisting.
Within the system there is also a small Imperial Navy base - with a small anti-piracy taskforce located there. Sunspire Station was designed to function without support from military units though and is more than capable of defending itself. Its design was only completed during the Clone Wars and as such, a strong self-defense network was made integral to its design.
Sunspire Station's weapon systems are as follows:
8 x Twin mounted Heavy Turbolasers
32 x Twin mounted Turbolasers
80 x Quad (light) Turbolasers
4 x GravWell Projectors (to prevent evasion/escape of Pirate vessels)
16 x Proton Torpedo Launchers
16 x Advanced Concussion Missile Launchers
8 x Heavy Ion Cannons
32 x Quad laser cannons (point defense)
64 x Twin laser cannons (point defense)
Also present are more than 200 Tractor Beam mounts for docking assistance and cargo recovery. The station also has exceptional amounts of shielding, another side-effect from its design period.
Sunspire Station has the following internal docking facilities:
8 large (>800m)
24 medium (200-800m)
128 light (50-200m)
512 fighter or small freighter (<50m)
Does that seem like a reasonable station to be the "focal point" of a series of adventures? I'm debating giving the characters a lease on some property onboard to keep them tied to it.
Is the station well thought out as a trading post, have I overlooked anything?
