Empire Resurrected
(Note: this link leads to Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars RPG forum. The poster, Disciple of Darkness, is me.)
Almost three years ago my friend started a Star Wats campaign using ideas from the Knights of the Old Republic PC/console game and
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Academy PC/console game. The game, originally intended to be a one-shot campaign, was set right after the peace treaty between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant and featured the reconstructed Star Forge, Jaden who had fallen to the dark side, and a resurrected Sith Empire.
It has been a long road from that point and now the galaxy is completely different from the canon SW galaxy: the Empire is once again the greatest power in the universe, the Sith have been defeated once more and their Dark Lord vanquished, the Jedi prophecy has been fulfilled after so many decades, and the Jedi Order has been split in two. Both my friend and I contributed to this with our Gamemastering and our players contributed new characters and situations (although most of the players were playing Jedi - I preferred Imperial officer characters when I was a player ).
Some time ago I started posting information of the state of the galaxy in our little "infinity" and its happenings and how it is different from the official SW. It has its share of flaws (one of them being that it was a RPG and thus some of its ideas, while good as RPG ideas, are not so good as literature or under close scrutiny - like several new powerful Sith Lords and Luke's weakness before Lord Jaden) and there are some things I find myself loathing (my friend's problem was minimalism and I had troubles explaining away the minimalist numbers he used when it was my GMing turn).
Now I wish to show this infinity to you, my good SD.Net denizens, to receive criticism, ideas, questions and such (each one can lead to new ideas as a GM and I like to answer questions about something of which I know much ). I wish that even if you do not find find this infinity any more reasonable than the other Infinities or even some official books (KJA comes to my mind...), you won't actually loathe it entirely, either.
Please forgive me for possible misspellings and English language violations in that thread in advance.
