Sweet! I wonder if they're going to include any more of the Battle of Geonosis on it.

Thanks for telling us all, countdooku!

BTW, anyone know if they're going to release the Digital or the Reel (no pun intended) version of the film? They are different, and I wonder which one will be released on the DVD. Maybe they'll even let us choose.

Yepper, I just now thought about the title but then descided I was going to buy the dvd, namely because I got slow-motion, 4x zoom, pause and frame by frame veiwing features for my veiwing pleasure. Especially the final 30 minutes, including a very nice surround sound system set up to my Dvd player. I believe I would be set for the special edition dvd, I don't care, I will probably buy the dang 6 ep. special special edition set, after I buy All of them individually. Now if I could get a bigger or widescreen TV.

I'll pay more for the boxed set after I buy them all individually.

It will most definately the Digital version of it, as I hear it is much much clearer and brighter, especially those Padme appartment scenes, Yikes. The digital one would be so easy to put on the dvd its pathetic, and will probably be the one that is on it as the whole film was originally filmed digitally, and was meant to be seen digitally.

Yeah if you read what the Dvd will include the first one it says...
Attack of the Clones, mastered directly from the digital source by THX for superior sound and picture quality

I believe that is proof enough.

Except 8 full deleted scenes especially for Ep II DVD: I hope they have the Space battle.
I just hope it doesn't look like this:

-American Press-
Los Angeles

Lucasfilm is happy to present you 8 new deleted scenes of Anakin and Padmé romance. George Lucas, producer and director of ILM, thinks that this will give a new insight on the popular love story of our two favorite heroes. "Fans will like it!" he said.

Starwars fans, commonly called "Warsies" on the Internet, should expect a lot of interesting things coming from the Episode II: Attack of the clones DVD. An additional 4 minutes of Anaking rolling on the grass with Padmé, playing like kids, will probably be the most interesting scene that did not survived the final cut. Recently, George Lucas explained:"We had to make the movie shorter...you know, sometimes a scene is just too long and we have to make the necessary adjustments". The remaining 7 scenes will include touching moments of the Fett family, one of them when Bobba asks his father Jango who is his mother.

So, May the Force be with you, because you will need it when the DVD comes out!

 I also hope that it includes at least part of the space battle. I was disappointed that it was cut for the release. I also hope that they use the Digital movie instead of the film movie, because they altered a few scenes for the digital one. I think that one was better, too (and not just because of the print quality). I really need a new DVD player. My old one kind of sucks.

I hope that is bull shit, but I will still buy it.

I am expecting this, shall be shitty if it isn't:
The attack on the Droid Control Ship was filmed and edited together, but never completed with final special effects. A Jedi attack force battled its way up the ship's ramp, through doorways, down halls, and into the bridge of the ship. The scene was filled with much swordplay and stunts.

The sequence was dropped from the cut because it added another story to be intercut with what already was becoming too complicated and time consuming for the climax of the movie. Including the sequence also meant time needed to set it up and resolve it while the arena battle and the Clone War land battle proceeded simultaneously.

There was lots and lots of material in each one of these sequences that needed to be trimmed. There was lots of Jedi action in the arena fight dropped, more Jango and Mace, and even at one point a battle in space with the Droid Control Ships.

God I would hate Lucas beyond believablity if he puts such bull crap onto the Dvd. The above quote is from Ben Brutt, who is doing commentary for the deleted scenes lets hope he will be doing the commentary for the above ones.

Ben's their sound director. I would hate it, too if Lucas did that to us, though I would LOVE to see more of the Jedi in the Arena and Jango vs. Mace, round II. Fight!

I would like to see something like this happen.

Five or six wedge shaped Jedi starfighters fly through a hail of Droid starfighters, to get to the Trade Federation Droid control ships. They land in the hanger and slash their way through waves of Droids and through corridors until they capture and shut off the droid controls, believing those on the planet would shut down, but to the amazement of the Jedi it only shuts down the Droid starfighters, the droids inside the control ship and the control ship itself. The TF must of learned from their mistake on Naboo and developed new individual droid controls. With the Droid starfighters decommisioned, and the Jedi quickly jammed the other Droid Battlships communications, causing the Geonosians to be unaware of the Jedi presence. The 742 meter long Acclamator republic assault ships arrive out of hyperspace and seeing as the Droid control ships are out of commision head under the command of the Jedi master Yoda, to save the encirled Jedi in the Geosian execution arena.

Though that is fiction I just made it all up it does corrispond with what Ben Burtt said about the Droid Control ship raid, and would be complete common scense. That would be the way I would do it.

I believe thats why the EU exists, because Lucas gets a percentage of all the profits off of all the books, toys, posters, music, and even the toothpaste. God damn you George Lucas you power hungry POS.

thanx for telling us. Some deleted scenes that i hope they have in is the space battle featuring Adi-Gala and i think Plo-Koon im not sure and i hope they find someway of putting all of Yodas fight with Dooku in. I havent read the novelization yet but i do know that original scetch designs and so forth had Dooku fighting Yoda with 2 lightsabers. Dookus figure also shows him having two sabers. The senate scene in the begining when the Naboo party shows up they go to an emergency senate, i believe they should never have cut that.

Of course we will, and I'll be happy to do it. I'd pay a hundred bucks to have a DVD of AotC. I think that it's almost impossible to mess up a movie this good. I would just get it to watch the movie, but the deleted scenes, commentary, etc. are worth the price of admission. I just hope that those features are good, but if they're not, who cares?

I have a question. I saw Ep II four times in the theatres but I don't remember this shot of the Acclamators landing, if you do please say so.Image

Countdooku, thats the scene when Palpatine is on the Balcony on the Senate Chamber outside(I think) and th Troops were being loaded up...and sent off to fight the Seperatists.

wouldn't they be going the other way. I strictly remeber them zoming from the clones with the Acclamators flying away from them. If Palpie was on the Balcony why would they in one shot be heading away from it then in the next heading toward it. Though the background looks to be courascant like building. It probably is, I will wait for the DVD for full proof. :)

How bout this one, it is clearly the Republic gunship cockpit, and if you look closely at the digital display it shows those ships that Anakin specificlly says to "fire at the fuel tanks"

Don't know I was scavenging starwars.com and it came up. I looks to be from the movie but I didn't see it. It was on this page: http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/feat ... index.html

Im not sure if it will be in the Dvd but if it is it would only be about 3 or 4 seconds in it. Pretty bad it was cut, I was just checking to see if any of you saw it in Ep II, I didn't.

LOL. I just found this off Starwars.com, and I don't think we should we worrying about the Jedi dead dissappearing instead we should be wondering about the Jango Head dissappearing.

Image

Look at it closely through the polarized visor you can see clear through it, now unless Jango's head shrunk it had to dissappear. Is this Canon? :)

I think if you look closely it falls out of the helmet as Jango's body collapses...

hmmm. Jango gets beat around and kicked while fighting Obi and the helmet holds on. Then at the end it some how falls off, when he ever so slowly falls down. I will also have to wait and see this on the DVD :)
