Should "Unmasked Vader" Be Replaced in ROTJ?
Should Hayden Christensen in old age makeup replace Sebastian Shaw as the "unmasked Vader" at the end of ROTJ? Wouldn't this make the ending much more poignant?

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I've been hearing GL is going to make a bunch of changes to the OT anyway before its DVD release in 2006, such as adding Qui-Gon's spirit to the other three in the last scene of Ep 6. Another rumor was a scene in Ep 4 on Alderaan featuring Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa, just before the DS dusts them.
Take life by the balls!

NO!
Although I think that Anikin in Episode III should get his legs cut off below the knee to account for this hieght difference between the movies. The robotic legs wouldn't be perfect making him shorter/taller.

George Lucas can do whatever the hell he wants with HIS story. He has a certain image of what it should be like in his mind than thats the way it "should" be, its his dream world. I personally would love it if he goes back and fixes some things in the original trilogy to make it more consistant with the prequals.
Imperial March music for Ep 4
Put the Greedo death scene back the way it was
Adding Qui Gons spirit would be nice.
A couple new battle scenes at Hoth and Endor coupled with fully CG walkers for the Hot battle would be excellent.
Redo the Jabba the Hutt scene in Ep 4. The SE edition Jabba CG was TERRIBLE for that scene.
A couple of scenes with the Emperor, Alderaan, the Imperial senate, etc to Ep 4 would also be very nice.
Just so long as Lucas doesn't do something that Jeopardizes Star Wars power as a Scifi Universe, and I'll be fine and will welcome whatever change he feels needs to be done to HIS work.

I'm fine with him writing his own story, but changing it a few yrs later to make the kiddies happy is really quite disturbing.Icehawk wrote:George Lucas can do whatever the hell he wants with HIS story. Well, there WAS a shot of an AT-ST coming under fire from a speeder that was ruined because the sky background moved, according to starwars.comKelly Antilles wrote:
Nonononono. The Battle of Hoth is fine the way it is. The music fits perfectly. The AT-ATs look fine. There is NOTHING wrong with that battle!
But really- no need to change anything Empire Strikes Back AT ALL (rabid versus warsie mode- except show the bridge of the star destroyer intact after the collision)
Return of the Jedi space battle could use some sprucing up- it's anemic.
