Choose Your Race

You live in the SW galaxy, and you must select your species/model. Only one rule: You can't be human. Droids are acceptable as well.

I pick Zeltron. Decadent, sex-based, pheremone-driven party culture FTW!

Gungan. A society of amphibians that banishes individuals who are morons. (Unless they end up becoming war heroes as a result, in which case they are shipped off to Coruscant.)

Pah, not human? You take all the fun out of it.

Well, if I had to choose, I would be a Hutt. I know they're big, slimy, and disgusting creatures, but they also live long lives, have a shrewd head for business, and they don't have to be evil. And, I could have slave girls.

Twi'lek or a Mon Cal.

Twi'lek because we have yet to see an ugly female in that species and they appear to be a really cool looking species.

Mon Cals just rock as pilots and just really smart and tough.

Assassin Droid, meatbags.

I'm a fan of Mon Calamari, myself.

Zeltrons are humans. ;)

Near-humans. There's some genetic difference in there somewhere. How else do you account for the crazy sex-pheromone they can emit at will?

this of course leads to the question "how much difference is needed to considered non-humans?"

If you can play the character without makeup, it's human (obvious exception for human replica droids). :P

Search me. But judging the intent of the OP, 'human" referred to the mainstream "Earth-type" human, not Star Wars varieties thereof.

I'm just being difficult. But realistically, the difference between baseline humanity and so-called near humans like Zeltrons, Chiss, Etti, and especially Hapans and Lorrdians and so forth are minimal enough as to be semantic. I'd call them all humans, just like the various species of Homo are all considered humans.

Responding to the OP, though, I'm not really a fan of any species other than human. I guess if "near-humans" are allowed I'd go for one of them-- Lorrdian or Chalactan, maybe.

I'd have to say either an HK series droid or a Mon Cal.

Whats the StarWars equivlant of "CatGirl"? Or, you know, cat boy as the case may be.

Wookie for me, not the catgirl equivilant.

Twi'lek. Mainly because of the hot females, but there are so many cool characters in the films that are Twi'leks.

It seems in the fims that a good portion of the Jedi are Twi'lek, so this would increase my chances of being a Force-sensitive Twi'lek as well.

The Cathar are the closest I can think of, quite feline. No pointy ears, though.

I, like Sonnenburg, am an Assassin Droid fan.

Cathar is an option, so are Togorians.

Here's what they look like.

For reference, they're taller than a Wookie, standing over 3 meters high. They're powerful hunters, and while they lack tails, they do have the pointed ears.

EDIT: As to what race I'd pick, Zeltron if I can. If not, I'd probably pick Twi'lek, since they seem to be one of the more widely covered and more varied species. Also, as pointed out above, we've yet to see an ugly Twi'lek female. 8)

Shi'ido. Shapeshifters don't need to pick a specific race! 8)

Zeltron, then net a Twi'Lek Female. Sounds good to me. Although maybe see if something cosmetic could be done about the magenta skin. That's rather a crappy colour.

Defel.

Cause I lurk a lot.

Also, Triannii for another felinoid species. Cathar gets remembered a lot for it because of the "cat" within the name, thank you very much Mr. Imaginatives KJA and Tom Veitch.

Why I didn't remember the Triannii is beyond me*. They are the closest SW comes to a "Cat-girl (or -boy)". Moreso than the Cather, who bear only a passing resemblance to felines (I honestly couldn't tell in KOTOR except for the name), or even the muscular Togorians (who honestly look more like big-ass generic mammals on steroids than specifically felines).

*I'm a voracious reader of the EU (yes, yes, I know how most here feel about it), and I own most of the Han Solo-themed works, and yet I forgot the Triannii despite their playing a fairly major roll in one of the books. :banghead:

EDIT: Fixed my spelling of Triannii

In addition to the Cathar and Togorians there are also the Trianii http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trianii and Catuman.
