Not much info, but it's some info on it.

The Clone Wars series is only mentioned once: in the last sentence. The series has been known about when both series were first announced at the same time ages ago, around when RotS was released.

There is virtually no new news in that report. For shame, Laird... :P

That's what I told him on AIM earlier, but he didn't understand what I was saying. :P

That's because Laird is a patented idiot. ;)

Wasn't it announced by GL himself during Celebration 3? Or at least he talked about it. Man alive, this is gonna cause Darkstar's head to explode.

Oh, bounty hunter. So the new series will revolve around a certain Boba? It'd be cool if that were true, considering how seriously Jango - and the Slave I - rocked in AOTC.

On a side note, didn't Lucas say specifially for folks like DarkStar that the series "just happens in that universe"?

How great it would be if the on screen depictions show a much bigger conflict than a "brushfire war."

If Lucas is involved, and there will be big battles, there will be BIG battles. 8)

Maybe they will show us somthing that makes Verdun look like a 'brushfire war'. Please let this happen  .

Heh. I guess with Lucas' involved it can't be anything other than "Clone Wars", you know, with massive clone battles and such, just as we saw in CW and movies. Lucas didn't mean his Clone War to be a Non-Clone War, that's for sure.

I think he said personally that it would be "nothing but big battles, with all the main characters from the movies". And it's going to be in a 3D Western/Eastern animation style (or styles), so I expect his technical demands to match some grand vision of the Wars, for sure.

I dont think its so much mean as funny and ironic to hear Spanky calling someone an idiot. :P

That's impossible, I'd have to be an idiot in the first place, which I'm not. :P

I'm more intersted in the live action show. That's something I used to dream about, back when I was a bigger geek than I am now. It still haunts my thoughts occasionally now.

I remember back when SOTE came out and the talk that it "could have been made into a movie" made me daydream of a SW TV mini-series or something. Naturally that would never happen because of the FX being sooo difficult to do on TV. :P

I keep wondering. Just what is a "brushfire war" when you are dealing with the scale of the Old Republic?

It seems to me that whole systems could be wiped out and because of the vast number of worlds in the Republic it could almost be considered a minor skirmish depending on how you look at it.

But you need more than 3 million soldiers to wipe out whole systems.

SHHH! Using modern scales for a galactic civilization is sensible! It's like the Iraq war, people! SPECIAL FORCES!

Blargh. I hated Shadows of the Empire. One of the best bits in Free Enterprise was when the sci-fi geeks are at a toy store and they're looking at the Shadows of the Empire Star Wars toys and scoffing- then some precocious little shit corrects their pronounciation of "Xizor". Will from Will & Grace (dont know his real name) takes the kid off to one side and re-educates him.

What's wrong with Shadows of the Empire?

Besides the fact it was kind of lame?

About FE, recall that Will's re-education pretty much fails when the kid assumes Logan's Run is a sports movie. ;)
