has there ever been any indication of sensors in starwars that use visuals...? like telescopes or something??
So ships that use stealth technology could be see by "the naked eye" kinda deal?

They have 'windows'. Seriously, that's their simple visual scan tech. Windows. Some other sensors do so as well. Their cloak shields, however, are proof against this.

Yes after after all, the SSD's after the Excutitor and Lusakyanya where painted entirly black to give them that much more of an edge
(The Lusakyna was underground thus painting was a waste and Vadar wanted people to see them coming, ISD's similar they where the Symbols of the Empire and thus ment to be seen)
other visual techs
In the Thrawn Duologoy they spot the black spot of where ISD's where under a cloaking device from hundres of KM's away and they distenticly say focus your sensors over here to spot them
Also Macro-bioniclears show in ANH and mentioned alot in the EU(Remeber where he zooms in?) seem to be a common device
Also a few times in the Thraw Triology where we see them visualy scanning for somthing
Anyway theres some examples if baddly convenulted because I need a nap thus my grammer and sentance structer are suffering heavly

Ok good this is good to know, cause i hate in b5 vs Empire debates, they always go on and on about how the shadows or whitestars have stealth technology, the empire has visual scanners so i've discovered, good to know

Visual scanning is one of the "passive" sensor modes, in which some sensor somewhere on the ship picks up incoming light signals and then, after processing these signals, determines what can be a threat and what isn't. Then it passes these threats over to the pilot.

so vorlon and shadow stealth tech won't affect this now would it??

As long as photons bounce off the ships, a visual scanner will pick it up.

In addition, VOTF notes that ISDs have a room for manual triangulation in case the main sensors are knocked out.

Yes. In Courtship of Princess Leia they have a dialogue in which Prince Isolder tells Teneniel Djo about a world whose predominant species died out thousands of years ago, but if they were to look at it through a telescope from Dathomir, they would still see people alive because of the time light takes to cross the Galaxy.

And, BTW, in Traitor Nom Anor's ship is painted a matte black to make it less reflective and more difficult to spot visually. It is also difficult for other kinds of sensors to detect.
