Who here thinks that the Jedi Counsel wasn't so wise?

I've seen Episodes I and II, and I think that despite the claim that they were wise, I don't think that they were all that wise to begin with. They don't want their students achieving their full potential, they don't train Force-users after a certain age, etc. Come on, to me that's begging the Sith Lords to train one of the stronger students (like Anakin) who was found a little too late. No wonder the Jedi were beaten by the Empire.

Yeah pretty much. The Jedi were so arrogant they were almost begging to be wiped out.

Hell they exuded all the signs of being overbearing and arrogant, I mean they prety much denied the Sith until it struck one of them down...and their ideas of combat were quite woeful, so aside from Yoda...they were pretty much asking to be knocked on their butt.
