If you're Palpatine, and you know that there is a powerful Jedi Master in a vegetative state who has been tainted by the Dark Side, do you have your troopers haul her off for your own purposes later (not THAT kind!), or just finish what MAce Windu should have done on Haruun Kal?

Probably kill her. Billaba was quite insane, and not in a way that would be useful to Palpatine.

Multiple Darksiders tend to end up fighting each other over power, so no. He's had no contact, meaningful anyway, that we know of. No hold over her, no angle on her. Nothing.
She's a rival and a distraction waiting to happen.

Also, bear in mind that the reason she's in a coma in the first place is because she tried to kill herself after realising what she'd done and what she'd tried to do. Not exactly a prime candidate for recruitment.

Agreed that multiple darksiders have a tendency to go after each other, but Palpatine has a seemingly significant cadre of force users. Although I admit none of them were probably even half as well trained as Depa. I still wanted to explore the possiblity however. I had this thought that it might have been a neat scene in Episode III (maybe not necessarily the movie, but the novelization or graphic novel) that Depa wakes up only to be inside the Temple as its burns and have to go up against Anakin, and when Anakin tells her that he helped Palpatine kill Mace (hell he might evne take all the credit), then it would be a great saber match.

Given that he was responsible for what happened to Depa, I was a bit surprised that Stover didn't put something like this in his novelization. It's alright, though I'm just as curious to see this dangling PT EU thread tied up.

Lucas was involved with the ROTS novelization and asked Stover to cut a few EU tie-ins. That might have been one of them (though there is a very subtle reference about her around the section where Mace learns about Palpatine).
It's pretty obvious she's dead, though. It'd save the trouble of having to revive her and keep her under control if she's still batshit insane.

No it isn't "obvious she's dead." Because with Star Wars EU, unless you get a guarantee from George Lucas himself then no plothole is effectively tied up unless specifically stated. We even see in the Clone Wars comics that she is comatose inside the Jedi temple.
Between Depa Billaba, Asajj Ventress (who should have been outright killed in the CW comics and who I tend to involve in SW conspiracy plots), maybe Aurra Sing there are more than a few Dark Force users running around out there with significant force talent.
NOw that I think about it, the NJO and the new LoTF series managed to bring back/tie up loose plot ends involving Lumiya and Roganda Ismaren. Female Force Users tend to be loose ends for later eh?
