If this has already been asked, can you delete this and point me to the thread?
anyway, I walking myself into a debate about borg that went from their kinetic weapon vulnerability to a blaster blowing the shield generator clean from the body. It was then brought up that the same would happen to a lightsaber blocking blaster shots. Do the jedi do deflect the shots with the force or is it the blade itself?

It's with the blade, but the force is needed to guide the blade to block the shots

But wouldn't that knock something loose inside and break the saber?

But if you read what Mr.Wong put on his site, the blaster bolt would exert its force upon the blade emitter/generator/crystal thingamabob. Since we don't see the blade flickering out after blocking, I was just wondering what the explanation was.

Don't know about that, might move the hand that holds it, but the insideds of the Light Saber should be well built.

Attack of the Clones showed blasters bolts forcing a lightsaber out of a Jedi's hand, when Jango guns one down in the Arena. They'd be using their force to increase their strength no doubt, but they must have a strong enough grip, the saber won't do it on its own.

If you speak of the Jango-Jedi fight in the high pedastal place, it could not have been recoil alone. The push was sufficient to effectively knock the Jedi over, yet Jango easily handled the recoil in one hand. Some other force must be at work.
