That to much for Thrawn, and any way, when has Thrawn shone himself to be a pilot, much less one of calibure like Wedge.

I'm sorry, but there's no way in Hell that Thrawn can win this. The A-wing has no way of damaging the SSD, and if even one shot hits the A-wing, Thrawn's dead. Plus, the SSD has hundreds of fighters.

300+ Fighters, 200+ Weapons that are one shot one kill on A-wing? A ship over 5KM's long which will take nearly a week for the A-wing to burn through?
I don't know, I might even call this one a fair fight for Thrawn (j/k)
Thrawn gets stomped and stomped hard

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Nah, Daala would order the shield to be lowered for some idiotic reason and then she would order all guns to fire randomly all over the place again for some idiotic reason, then Thrawn would just blast the bridge with all the conc missiles he has and some laser fire

This thread is moronic. It defies common sense to even think about whether an single a-wing will beat a SSD, even if we assume Thrawn suddenly acquired elite piloting skills.

Thrawn is in a a-wing, he opens a channel to the SSD asking permision to board. Daala refuses, the crew mutiny and kill her. Victory Thrawn. (biggest cop-out of all time? )

excuse me, but since when did thrawn become a pilot?
Now, "thrawn in command of a A-wing sqaudren vs Daala in command of a SSD" I could see. It would be a test of their command capabilities (admitedly with one side having an insanedly huge advantage in material resources...). But by stating "thrawn in an a-wing", you are making it no longer a test of his tactical, strategic, or leadership abilities, but instead a test of his piloting skills (you could be Rommel, Stonewall Jackson, Grant, Patten, Alexander the Great, and Hannibal rolled into one and still be a piss-poor pilot who can barely manage "taxi into launch possition" 1/3 of the time...). And, as far was we know, Thrawn has the piloting skills of a lump of coal.

There is no problem to dificult for a signifigantly large enough quantity of C-4 to handle.

Thrawn loses. Maybe a more appropriate poll would be Thrawn's ISD vs Daala's SSD. But that's still stretching it.

Actually I think that might be worse! It least you can dodge lasers in an A-Wing (not that I'm saying anyone could dodge in acsess of 1k weapon emplacments).IRG CommandoJoe wrote:Thrawn loses. Maybe a more appropriate poll would be Thrawn's ISD vs Daala's SSD. But that's still stretching it.
While an ISD would do more damage, it wouldn't even have the miniscule chance that an A-Wing had. It would be a raw slug fest, and the one with the more guns wins.

Maybe if the Pilot was Baron Fel and Thrawn was relaying instructions, I don't think Thrawn is a fighter pilot.

I'd say the novels, because the only time Thrawn appears in the RS comic series is in a flashback of Baron Fel's where he's discussing his past.
No mention of Thrawn being a pilot though.

Well, then, it's a different one, becuase I KNOW I've seen a pic of his piloting. I can't fucking remember WHERE!Ghost Rider wrote:I'd say the novels, because the only time Thrawn appears in the RS comic series is in a flashback of Baron Fel's where he's discussing his past.

Hi.
I don't really believe that the SSD would lose. SSD, not Daala.
