Two retired military guys authoring a Clone Wars novel. Sounds interesting, I might start reading SW novels again, after stopping halfway through the NJO last year.

Hell, even if it does (which I doubt since Lucas or his proxies will check things out first), who cares? Two military veterans writing for Star Wars? That's great! The only thing that might be as good would be David Drake and/or S.M. Stirling writing for Star Wars. 8)

It should be very good, they wouldn't get a pair of Soldiers with combat experience to do this is the book wasn't going to have ground combat. Hopefully there also free to create equipment for their book not seen in Ep2.

Looks like where also going to learn the orgin of the Vong concept. Should be intresting.

Does this have anything to do with Anakin and Obi Wan going to Zenoma Sekot?

Eh, why would you need it w/ intelligent projectiles like proton torpedoes/concussion missiles?

Even so, I can see mass-driver weapons firing proton torpedo-type projectiles at targets huge distances away.

The same reason missles haven't replaced Howitzers and Aircraft guns. Cost.

If you guys want to preview their writing you may want to check out the authors' 'Starfist' series, good reads.

oh good, writers that actually know what they're doing when writing about warfare. i'm sick reading the works of clueless writers, hopefully their books are a good buy.
