I doubt it, since neither of those quotes infatically state that the EU is canon Darkstar will just ignore them.
And in all honesty I don't think that they are very good evidence of the EUs canonity. Number 1# specifically states that Mara Jade is an EU character and number 2# Only really says that the EU hasn't limited GLs options in future projects.
