No sarcasm, really.

I mean, you wouldn't expect anyone to survive, but people do get lucky sometimes, and there could certainly be confusion as to weather someone survived, which I guess was your point.

Although Batman's survival was skill as well as luck. He immediately took cover when Doomsday's blast went off, and he had at least some protection from his armour.

Lois's survival was due to Act of Superman. :D

Well no I half dispute this. Her survival from the *blast* was taking cover just like Batman. Superman did have to save her from the drowning. Which got them the spear. I thought it was a nice little sequence of events that led them to the team up to take down Doomsday via Superman's sacrifice.

Doomsday's actual direct-fire attacks were like nuclear blasts, but by that very fact, I'm sure a lot of shock waves and shattered fragments of destroyed buildings were flung around, inflicting secondary damage and causing other buildings to collapse without being utterly annihilated. It is certainly plausible that a person might be rescued, comatose, from the wreckage left by that fight, if they happened to be on the scene.

Split topic, as each movie should be discussed on its own merits.

'Weird shit' was more aimed at if they go with something more esoteric like there being a secret Lexcorp facility that was kidnapping survivors or had a capture order for Kent for whatever reason. Or some sort of supervillain mind control cult or any of a number of things that wouldn't happen in real life but are possibilities in a superhero story.

The funeral home would have to be in on the conspiracy.

Ok. I'd have to double check, but weren't there two coffins anyway?

Two coffins as in; the one in Smallville and the one in (what we assume was) Metropolis (or possibly Washington)?

Yeah, the state funeral coffin was 'an empty box' in the words of Bruce.

Actually, the funeral home would have to have been in on it anyway. There's no chance Bruce would take the risk that an embalmer noticed it's not quite normal....

Don't need a whole body - just fragments: "Sorry, this is all we could find..."

Didn't see the movie (yet - I'm generally 6-12 months behind) but again, that's not unheard of in real life. You bury what you can find, even if it's not much.

Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. Now that I watch it closer I do see that. I'm sorry. Not that it wouldn't be a cover up that couldn't be pulled off, but it would take a bit of work.

I'm no Snyder fan, but I'll admit, I always appreciate a filmmaker with an eye for subtlety and detail.
