Could post eclipse Gutz defeat Durin's Bane?

Gutz has his Cannon with 1 shot, the Dragon Slayer, his throwing knives and repeating cross bow.

Durins Bane has his whip and sword.

Who wins, how and why?

Gutz is the Main Guy from the Beserk Magna/Anime/Video Game. He basically goes around hunting of Gods Hand and their demon apostles (He has killed at least 2 to my knoweldge). He also killed 100 men by himself in a single battle.

Durins Bane is the Balrog from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.

Personally I think Gutz can win if he strikes with his cannon for distraction, then comes in with the Dragon Slayer. But if he fails in the first couple seconds, I give it to the Balrog after that, which would most likely burn him to a crisp.

Balrogs are a lot bigger and tougher than the monsters Gatsu has faced. Look at how much trouble Zod gave him, and a balrog is stronger, faster and lest corporeal than Zod.
The balrog is pretty much immune to physical weapons and his flame whip would make very short work of Gatsu. But Gatsu would die really cool, cuz thats the kinda guy he is.

Are you sure? While I haven't read the manga I've heard some stories of it.

And Zod can stalemate the leader of the god hand, a good reality warper from what I've heard, so don't ccount him out.
