Friday the 13th Question

Post by The Yosemite Bear »

Question on Jason Vorhees, has anyone ever used decent tactics or firepower against him?

Sure you can't effectivly kill the dead, but can you say drop a couple of cars on him and compress him into a block of metal. Sure it wouldn't kill him but he's never shown any level of physical strength to stop it...

Oh hell yes. In "Jason Goes to Hell," the FBI opened up on him with M-16's, grendades, mounted machine guns and finally dropped an air to surface missle on him. He was blown to bits. Unfortunately, the mortician later ate his heart and Jason's soul moved around from person to person (don't ask, it was the worst of the series).

"Jason X" had a female android open a can of whoop ass on him. She beat the shit out of him and then used an automatic rifle to blow off his arms, legs... Basically f'ed him up and killed him. He later came back after the ship's medical computer put him back together.

Bear, I've seen all the movies. You've asked the right person.

Here are some great lines from "Jason goes to Hell."

Assistant Coroner: [to Jason's body] Hey fuck! Hiya doin ya fat-ass maggity blown-up fuck! Suck this!
[gives Jason's body the finger]
Assistant Coroner: Suck it! You know what I'd like to do to you? I'd like to take a crap right on your fuckin mask! A big old mango-sized crap!

Robert Campbell: I'm going to say a couple of words to you and I want you to say the first thing that comes into your mind.
Creighton Duke: Okay.
Robert Campbell: Jason Voorhees.
Creighton Duke: That makes me think of a little girl in a pink dress sticking a hot dog through a doughnut.

I know they dumped him in a leaky toxic drum in Manhatten.

But I figured the auto dismantling method would keep him under control for a great long time, also the Smokyman seal him up in a ICBM silo or Terminator 1000ing his ass would also be ungodly effective at keeping him down for a long, long time.

Hmm Smoky vs Jason...

Yeah, you could put him down. He'll come back later though, at full strength. They froze him in "Jason X" and kept him that way for hundreds of years.

I wouldnt think that anything would be able to keep him down--he would likely find some way to suddenly re-from. Theres simply no stopping the guy. In F13 Part 8 they melted him down to liquid with toxic waste, and yet there he is in part 9. They blow him up into a million pieces in part 9 but then the pieces begin to posses people!

BTW, I thought Jason Goes to Hell was really good. Not really a Jason film per se, but it had great gore (well, it could be because my version is the unrated cut), decent nudity, lots of inventive deaths and it at least tried to do something new with the franchise. If you ask me, Jason Takes Manhattan was the worst of the bunch...

I think that dubious honor should go to part 5- Jason was an impostor, and it was extremely trashy.

Not the good kind of trashy, either.

True, part 5 did feature a copycat killer. So that makes a total of 3 serial killers that have graced Camp Crystal Lake: Jason, Jason's mom, and the guy from part 5.

I thought of another fun one

Concrete...

Tell me building a foundation on top of him wouldn't keep him at bay for a long long time. Obviously he will be influencing the building, so it can't be anything residential... Hmm how about an ultra-max penetentiary, put him right below where they have the injection gurney....

I'll second that, though I would like to add that The Final Chapter had the absolute worst acting of them all.

Of course, the worst actress to ever appear in a Jason movie was definatly that one girl at the begining of 8. Oh, how I enjoyed watching her die a horrible and bloody death.
Look not to the hands of God for the keys to your salvation, but to your own hands. And if they are not there, search your pockets, or the kitchen table. Think. Where did you leave them last?

Lexa Doig (how do you pronounce that last name) from Andromeda? We had a girl named Alexandra in school, but we called her Alex instead of Lexa.
