Avengers/JLA crossover

The synopsis contained two interesting points. When the two teams were facing off, one of the Avengers called the JLA "Squadren Supreme Wannabes." Also, Thor flattened Superman by throwing his hammer at him. Superman's gonna be really pissed...

Fun crossover.

I particulary liked that how each universe treated costume people.

Also it's fun to see thaqt the master villain is actually something of universe threatening power.

And Thor whacking Supes was worth it.

It was on the second to last page and so far all that's seen is he's inside a wall.

Issue two will have more battles.

Not likely...Sups was laying on his back and was trying to get back up at the end of the comic. IMO wonderwoman is going to take Thor on and take the hammer, she is going to smack Thor down... not superman . When the battle started there was 8 JLA members and 7 Avengers. Now that Thor knocked Sups on his candy ass it makes the teams even. I don't think that superman is going to play a big part in this battle.

If you look at the monitors behind Metron and Grandmaster, you see that Superman is standing up again, but he is still on one knee and his head is bowed down as in "Damn, did anyone get the number of that truck ?"

Well I'd hope so, given what his weakness to magic is and that Hammer whacking is honestly what I expected.

Though I liked both sides recognizing the leaders laying it a bit thick.

I might not pick up this one, despite the hype.

Some reasons:

1. They're freaking expensive.

2. I'm not a fan of the Avengers.

3. I can't stand most of Perez's work. He's very talented, but his style ain't my taste.

4. It's not part of continuity. Might as well read a vs. debate.

5. Same old flamboyant cosmic god-beings. Same old 'crisis.'

I might still get it for the battle scene. That has to be good.
