Who are the Thudercats, and are they worthy to be on the same page as the greatest comic character ever created?

Thundercats were characters on a cartoon from the 80's. The show had a He-Man feel to it. I had some of the toys too.

It's just a weird crossover. It would be like crossing Spiderman with Transformers. What the hell do they have to do with one another?

Same reason they always think.

80's properties are big business now...and before it loses all worth, do team ups.

No logic beyond that.

Er, Transformers V1 #3 actually did that. Afterwards, Marvel tried very hard to pretend it never happened.

Besides, who from Thundercats can touch Supes? Superman would pick Lion-O up like a club and beat Mum-Ra to death with him.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster

I'd pay to see that beat down (Superman vs Mum-ra)

Transformers vs GI JOE isn't that bad an idea. I've seen how they are going about it (initially) and the story arc does make a little sense.

SPOILERS

In it, COBRA found the Ark before the autobots were online, and are trying to reprogram them into there army. I believe the Decepticons already agree to help Cobra take over the world in exchange for Energy to take over Cybertron with.

I'm guessing Cobra Commander and company will try to betray or enslave the Decepticons eventually, or else plan to use Solar power to generate the Energy the Decepticons need.

Spacing does little to hide spoilers...just change font size

Uh, there are three TF vs GI. Joe stories so far. The first one was done by Marvel, back in the 80s. The second is the one you mention, and the third is being set during WWII, and looks fairly interesting.

My friend Dave...who because it's an 80's thing(his sole reason)

Seriously I asked why is he wasting $3, and he said...because it might be good(yeah...and a meteor of Gold might land in his backyard and give him three wishes)

GI Joe vs Transformers during WW2? Interesting. I wonder if Megatron will turn into a King Tiger. :D

They've done some great things with the art, specifically the 'Con designs. They've kept them virtually unchanged from G1, but apart from transforming into 40's stuff they have alot of almost steampunk (ick) detail, like loose wiring at the joints etc. I like it. :)

Their only chance is Mumm-Ra's spells or the Sword of Omens, since magic is the only true vulnerability Supes has...
