Hence why I threw all five in and said it made them its bitches. Not simply that it was better.

I consider WWH to be in the same general ballpark of awesomeness, but that might be the fact that I keep it in the same mental space as "Planet Hulk". (And some fanfics I wrote and posted here ages ago. Planet Waaagh? Stop looking at me....!)Steve wrote:Hence why I threw all five in and said it made them its bitches. Not simply that it was better.
Although SCW is better .

A reminder to everyone that GLC # 42 goes on sale tomorrow. IGN has uploaded their usual preview and now that an Indigo Tribesman has joined the fight, the battle to repel the Black Lantern assault on Oa just got a little more interesting...

Re: "The Blackest Night" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)
Just reading the preview, and it seems that some of the other Lantern's homeworlds have already gone. Maybe its just me, but it seems a let down that only the GL survive (albeit Sodom Yat does) into the 31st century because they are simply the last one standing, and not because they didn't eradicate a few of the other corps. That being said I have a suspicion they will "assimilate" the sinestro corps based on the revised oath from the 31st century.

Only Zamaron has fallen thus far (in Green Lantern # 46), though Okaara looks to be next depending on how Atrocitus and Larfleeze's encounter goes. The assimilation of the Sinestro Corps is a theory Steve's been championing since Page 1, but even with the dialogue in LO3W, we still don't know the exact fate of the Corps -- yet, anyway.mr friendly guy wrote:Just reading the preview, and it seems that some of the other Lantern's homeworlds have already gone. Has anyone else picked up the Colored rings yet? All I have so far are Black Lantern Corps and Sinestro Corps.

Can I just say that I really don't get how Atrocitus is supposed to be even the tiniest of threats to Larfleeze? You know "I can kick the asses of a dozen Green Lanterns and guardians at once" Larfleeze?JME2 wrote:Only Zamaron has fallen thus far (in Green Lantern # 46), though Okaara looks to be next depending on how Atrocitus and Larfleeze's encounter goes. If anyone gets the chance - pick up the R.E.B.E.L.S. Blackest night tie-in. It's a lot of fun.

Re: "The Blackest Night" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)
Keep in mind that we have no idea how the Red and Orange Lights will affect on another; this will be the first encounter. And the Red Lanterns' raw power might give Atrocitus a slight edge in going up against Agent Orange. So, we'll see.The Grim Squeaker wrote:Can I just say that I really don't get how Atrocitus is supposed to be even the tiniest of threats to Larfleeze? Is it just me or is TBN living up to, nay, exceeding all expectations?
I mean, even the mini-series have been generally good so far, and the main books (TBN, GL, and GLC) have been a non-stop thrill ride.
If it keeps being this awesome our heads may explode by TBN #8.

Compared to the crash and burn of Final Crisis, this is a breath of fresh air and is definitely on par with the excellence of SCW.Steve wrote:Is it just me or is TBN living up to, nay, exceeding all expectations?
So, now that we're in the second half, what does everyone want to see happen? Here's the big ones on my list....
* Resurrection Moratorium: No more resurrections would be ideal at this point; we're already on the verge of a burn-out ala the Skrull reveals.
* Paging Mr. Henshaw: I don't think there's room for the Manhunters and ol' Henshaw to appear, but here's to hoping. And we need payoff on the hints regarding the source of the Manhunters' malfunction during the Massacre of Sector 666.
* Krypto vs. Dex-Starr: This has been teased long enough. Bring on the Rage Kitty/Dog of Steel grudge match...

I keep hearing people clamouring that some of the Black Lanterns and people who die in this event should be brought back to life proper in the aftermath.
Frankly, I think they're delusional.

Re: "The Blackest Night" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)
After reading the spoilers and what some people are thinking, I think this liliformers cartoon is so appropriate. Because the thought of combining the various powers of the emotional spectrum while obvious is also a bit of a cliche, but so far Sinestro corp wars, rage of the red lanterns and agent orange TPB have all entertained me, so I eagerly await the Blackest Night.
