I can't believe I didn't notice that. The Empire of Cold Blood, perhaps?
Then Vaarsuvius is possibly going to be in bigger trouble than Elan.

Assuming that they know what V did - which is not a given, since the only witness is kinda dead.

719 is up.

I'm thinking the Empress might not be too concerned with V's past actions.

Same here.. Nothing wrong with a Dragon gobbling down cows.. But making a Dragon fat bloated, and evidently stupid? That, that just isn't proper DRAGON.

So, we have yet another monarch who defies stereotype, and you're complaining about it?

Oh really, stupid monarch + smart advisor defies stereotypes exactly how? Wasn't Shoujo a parody of that?

Also, I meant I was disappointed that TEB wasn't at all related to Elan's father at all. But since Burlew always opts for something different from what readers expect, I am curious to see where this leads.

Indeed... since they want Nale because he fought to win this kingdom, then tried to steal it for himself.

How do we know it's not related? For example, what if Nale helped overthrow his dad's kingdom, then backstabbed the conquers? That's totally up his alley.

You know, you should really mark that link as NSFW.

I got the impression that Tiamat is fairly angry, but since the Empress is revealed, it doesn't feel very important of a plot hook.

On the other hand, maybe it's a clever illusion and we've got a proper God-Dragon-fearing ruler.

A friend of mine submitted a design for one of their products. Also, I see advertisements for it on FA and such.

I think the problem here is that everyone is still focussed on V, when it's obvious that V's past history with dragons is not actually relevant. It's the same thing with the arrow, where everyone automatically assumed that it had to be a revenge plot against V (even when it obviously had everything to do with Elan). If it even comes up outside of jokes I'll actually be surprised.

Ix, that' s where you are wrong. In a couple hundred strips it' s going to show up when we have our guard down. Just like the girdle of sex change.

The V thing is pretty logical really maybe not for this exact arc. (Though it still looks to me like that Arrow was aimed directly at V rather than Elan but he's already dodged in that frame, which may be the course of the confusion)

The expectation that Tiamat's going to get down and nasty is not entirely unreasonable. We know the fiends have placated her somewhat but still the team's managed to wind up pissing off a god of the west and they go to the western continent, where that god has the power to take direct action. So yeah, it kinda should be referenced somehow.

I can't imagine it not being referenced, but I also don't think it's going to get referenced now, while it's still fresh in everyone's minds.

Wait a hundred strips or so, and then it will come and bite V in the arse.

720 has arrived in super-quick fashion

Smooth talking from Elan. Mang, I miss passably competent Elan. Burlew seems to be emphasising his idiocy a bit much recently.

Well, he's still decent in a fight. Usually.
I do hope that the bounty hunters survive this - they haven't really done anything evil themselves. And lizardfolk always get a bum rap.
