Which reminds me - they can jump trough a high-level blade barrier and survive.
That's what - 10D10 or 20D10 damage?
Even V managed to survive that, most likely without any save (due to being paralyzed).

Blade barrier does 1d6/caster level, to a maximum of 15 (V is a 14th level wizard, I think, so 13d4+4+constitution modifier HP). It seems logical that Haley might have been able to make a save for V since she was carrying him, but I can't cite anything to back that up.
Edit: Wait, Haley and Elan were both carrying him. Hmm.

So, 15D6 - an average of 52.5 damage, a minimum of 15 damage and a maximum of 90 damage.

Assuming that V is still 14th level, V has an average of 30 hitpoints (wow...low), a minimum of of 18 and a maximum of 60 hitpoints, excluding constitution.
If V has a GM which allows taking maximum dice results for HP-rolls, V has a good average chance of surviving with heavy damage, albeit heavily wounded.

With a save, the average damage is 26.25 damage, a minimum of 7.5 damage and a maximum of 45 damage.
That significantly increases V's chance if surviving even if there are no max-roll-HPs.

My conclusion (not that it matters, since OotS is story driven):
-V has gained several levels OR
-V has maximum-roll hitpoints OR
-a save was possible

Of course, a real low damage roll is also possible.

Your math is off Serafina. 4hp for first level and (2.5x13) 36.5 hp before Con. Dex and Con are attributes that rank in just behind Int in importance to a Wizard. Even a 12 is going to kick V's hp up to 50.5.

Not exactly the most original of concepts but very fun nevertheless. Some quality action. Plus one of the few times when Mr. Scruffy really takes the initiative in showing why he's Belkar's perfect compnanion.

I'm pretty sure it's a 5th level or higher Soulknife (got the name of the class and its signature class feature confused, oops). At level 5 they gain the ability to shape their mindblades into two short swords, among other things. It could very well be something else entirely. Now that it comes up, Warlocks and Soulknives have quite a bit in common, the most pertinent at the moment being that they are always and invisibly armed.

Oddly it was only with this strip, and Roy causally hurling dragon orgres about by the tale that I notice He's now actually wearing his belt of giant's strength. Weird.

Now, how did Roy and Belkar get in without papers?

Likely Durkon used Wind Walk again, just like he did with Elan to reach Haley and Celia.

Well, now it's up to the cleric to save the group.
Business as usual then. Move along, nothing to see here :P

How come Durkon willingly used Wind Walk? Not counting that the plot needed him to do so (a plausible argument in OOTS), why would he willingly break the law over something like that? Why would Roy?

They were probably in a a hurry and didn't know about the law.

Isn't it likely that they used the scroll of teleport left behind by the machinations of Haley?

Which one of them would use it? Durkon can't; it's not on the cleric spell list. Roy and Belkar are highly unlikely to have the Use Magic Device skill; the only party members likely to be able to employ an arcane scroll are the ones who were captured.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!

You make an excellent point, though it's not impossible they found someone to cast it for them.

Can't Belkar use scrolls? He used healing scrolls when V enchanced his wisdom way back in their first confrontation with the Linear Guild in Dorukun's Dungeon.

On the other hand, I thought the teleport scroll when poof! when haley interrupted the casting.

Those were divine spells/scrolls. Since Rangers can learn to cast divine spells, Belkar can do it - he just has such a low wisdom that he can't do it without an wisdom-increasing effect.

By "scroll of teleport" left behind by Haley's machinations, do you mean bounty poster left behind by Haley's machinations? Because if so, I don't think anybody in the party has the ability to cast spells using that.
