This could be an interesting exchange....
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

I'd be tempted to have all the spellcasters prepare as many Sendings as they could, and then spam Red Cloak with them until he agrees to a meeting.
Of course, I'm also the guy that would have picked up a Wand of Sending with the amount this group and it's allies split up.

It would be rather awesome if the end of the world was stopped by a Persuasion roll.

Man, the series has been treading water a LOT for the past few years. Worse than a manga!

Not really. That's down to his slow output; when you put all this together in the final book it's not going to take up that many pages.

Yeah, when you read it straight up instead of waiting for an update the pacing is fine. A bit longer than you'd think at the outset, but the later parts are defensibly IMO structured to make sure each of the party members has a significant character arc. So the confrontation with Xykon is now proceeding after Durkon had finished his spotlight story-line.

Not really. That's down to his slow output; when you put all this together in the final book it's not going to take up that many pages.
And his output is related to his health, so there's that.

I don't know.
Maybe if Redcloak gets a chance to listen to the entire situation...

If Redcloak doesn't open with destruction I'm going to be shocked.

Redcloak is to smart for that. He'd want to at least question Durkon for intelligence.

Well shit.

I suspect that there's more a chance of other parties attacking first than Redcloak. Also laying odds that whatever talk they do end up having will be cut short by Xykon popping up.

And if you do higher ones (i.e 1207+) you get the Monster in the Dark.

Rich has a rather smarmy sense of humor at times :)

Yeah, the Monster in the Dark is the generic 404 page on the site.

Redcloak is an intelligent individual. I mean, come on, he made a Lich.
Redcloak is also pragmatic.

He kept said Lich occupied for months PRIOR to nearly losing the Lich's 'phylacatary'. The reason - To oversee, and make sure a goblinoid controlled city became a thing.

Now, a cleric of a god has shown up to say 'we are here to negotiate with you'. He's going to listen, and give it serious thought.
All Durkon has to do is offer him what Redcloak and the Dark One want. a Goblin nation at peace with it's neighbors.
