I think we need to have someone sit down and do some number-crunching to figure out how strong, fast, etc both of them are.

i.e
Jason uses his machette to slash through reinforced steel.
How thick? How long does it take? What is the force required to do this?
I honestly don't know how thick it was, it was a containment door on his cyogenic prison in X. It took like a second however.

Why do you keep referring to Jason X?

It's set several hundred years in the future, Buffy is DEAD by then.

Use Modern Jason, or at least start a Buffy vs Jason X thread

By the way, if you want to kill Jason X, toss him down a black hole

I still say Missile Silo+Concrete end of problem (Provided you don't build anything over the missile silo, like say cozy cabins with VCRs so he can't pull a Samara....

Actaully if you arre referring to me, Jason punching thru the containment door happens before he is cronofreezed. And its still standrad Jason for most of the movie, you could still use those examples for his strenght.

Jason takes Buffy so fucking easy it's not even funny.

Why? because the Scooby gang will be trying to find out
why Jason is committing this mass murdering spree
than simply trying to kill him...and Jason is nigh unkillable.

Jason has the edge both in strength and durability. Despite claims to the contrary, Buffy has never been acknowledged as having increased in strength over the seasons, only in ability.

I say Jason wastes her. Jason is immune to anything in her normal aresnal, and aside from the Judge, Buffy has been to stupid to resort to conventional weaponary, which mostly doesn't work against Jason either.

So, Buffy bites the dust here.

Well, Jason is strong enought to put his machette thru reenforced steel. So I think he can do it.
Ok first of all I don't care how strong Jason is, he is not strong enough to stick a machete through a reinforced steel door. Why? because no machete is strong enough to puncture reinforced steel, the machete would bend or break first. That was the writers of Jason X and their poor writing skills trying to save the girl for the future part of the movie.

By the way I say Buffy takes it in the long run, but only after she looses a member or two of the Scooby Gang, probable casualties would be Xander, Anya, Tara and maybe even Dawn. Lets face it Jason loves to strike after couples have sex or young teens are being mischievious, so that list is likely for those activities. I did not put Willow on the list because Tara is a weak bitch compared to Willow who could keep Jason at bay with magic.

As long as an object is propelled by enough force, a quarter can theoretically smash through steel doors, why not a machete? It just needs to be propelled by sufficent force.

T-1000 is right. Normally, a knife stab will have more force behind it than a bullet. It's all about the force behind it.

oh come on, it might be possible for the machete break through with enough force behind it, but it is not going to retain its shape or its sharp edge. Even the quarter will be disfigured. So lets face up to it that Jason stabbing through a steel door with a machete is dumb.

Dumb maybe, but it happened. Considering all the other metal his machette has cut thru prehaps Jason can reenforce is somehow with his supernatural powers.

I think both are deadly opponents.

But the trouble with Buffy is that she's a talker. Talk, talk, talk. As well. Her enemies are talky. The all jabber and pose and give her room to manuever or escape death.

Jason is completely different. No talk, more kill.

So if they are in a situation where he's taken out a scoob or two, then perhaps Buffy will charge in and take him out fast. She has the edge there. Jason has been taken down before, by nonsuper powered beings to boot. Though as to a permanent fix, eh.

But more likely the end up face to face and while she's quipping and dancing he lunges. While shes trying to break his hold and be snarky, he's crushing her ribs. While she pouts and retreats, he's following and striking again before any recouping or planning.

Buffy only works best against weaker foes, or ones who need to plan or brag. Jason is a different beast. He isn't one for dilly dallying on the job.

BUt if she or her friends aren't his goal, and she is trying to hunt him, their is a chance.

If anything, it'd be a better BVS ep than the "Buffy vs Dracula" drek.
