Fourth Group. All I really need to do is kill Shinji. If I can beat Misato and the JSSDF guys to Shinji, I kill him and no one can activate EVA-01. That should prevent the 3rd Impact, but at the very least it will delay it long enough destroy the EVA.

Um, SEELE wanted the JSSDF to kill all Children in the first place. They didn't need a pilot for their improvised version of initiating Instrumentality (when the Lance returned, they quit and let Instrumentality begin as they originally planned).

EVA-01 and NERV HQ should self destruct simultaniously after EVA-02 is destroyed. If one failed, the blast from the other should be enough.

Scratch that. They should self destruct right after the MP Evas land, so that the entire Eva series might be destroyed at once.

Wait, I just realised EVA-01 might not actually have a self destruct capability, considering that SEELE wouldn't have let Gehirn build it with one.

So that just leaves NERV HQ to take all 11 Evas out.

If that's the case, describe how they qualify as 'organic mecha', other than soley by outside appearance.
