Sorry if I was unclear, I was talking about the dragon when I said 'she'. It would add a dimension beyond 'evil uncaring vindictive uberbitch' to her character, so instead, she'd be an evil caring vindictive uberbitch.

V is specifically blocked from using Wish or any other such spell to duplicate divine magic. And all the necro spells require either time or the body present(Demise Unseen)
I think he was referring to the Dragon's mate and child.

I certainly hope not. Disintegrate her and move on.
As several people on the OOTS forum pointed out, when the dragon appeared she mockingly said "Say Disintegrate for me again" to V. V could be mocking her right back by granting her request . . .
Hadn't thought of that, but it certainly feels right for the character.
Grandmaster Jogurt wrote:That's not saying I expect her to last long. Then again, Rich does seem to delight in thwarting predictions.
Just thought of something. What if V uses one of the necromancy scrolls to bind the soul of the Dragon? This prevents the Dragon from being united with her family in death and I think would fit the new Dark V. It could also make the Dragon a recurring character in a situation that becomes the opposite of what happened to that named Chimera that Belkar killed.

637 is up.

Yea, looks like V is feeling just a LITTLE evil.

Also, confirmation that yellow-speech-bubble fiend is Lawful Evil (and that he's been getting intel from Sabine); it seems likely from speech patterns that orange=NE and purple=CE. If you care about that sort of thing. ;)

So, Sabine is a succubus huh?

That makes sense. She didn't seem much like an Erinyes to me.

I wonder if V is going to go have a work with the Linear Guild in the near future now...

Unless you're just going by the potential pun with the name, I'm not seeing the confirmation. Though if it's true, calling Sabine a succubus off-handedly while having her report to a Lawful superior does maintain some sense of ambiguity.

They say she was working for Director Lee. Yellow then provides a bunch of details about her work, saying she reports to him. Pretty solid confirmation that yellow is Lee there. Plus it would be consistent with his behavior, he was the one who always went into the most detail and covered all the loose ends.

The only character that could possibly know for sure is Hailey, since the two have seen each other nude, IIRC.

In any event, I'm pretty sure Rich Burlew has stated that he hasn't decided on V's gender, and that the androgyny is a fun running joke.

V may not have a gender. For all we know, the elves on that world are all like snails, with both male and female productive organs.

Looks like V got a good four rounds out of that time-stop plus pink Dragon, fun times are had by all.

Note to self, never devour an opponent with shapechange. Atually, let's just amend that to 'never devour an opponent, ever'.

Wow, just wow. V, or rather Dark V. Do not piss Dark V off, nasty terrible things will befall you. That has to be one of the best ways I've seen to kill someone.

I like how in the last panel V the pink dragon is still biting it's the dragon's neck, even though it's not actually connected to anything else.

Better to say 'Never swallow an opponent whole', but I learned that lesson from Men In Black.

Ah yes, this is why Time Stop is banned by some GMs as 'too unbalancing'. You can certainly abuse it to amusing effect in BG2 and NWN. :)

BTW Erfworld seems to be building up to something really impressive also.

V wins
Flawless Victory

Fatality

Oh, and never let your opponent get inside you. I learned that from old disney movies (you know, where the witch catches the wizard in germ form....). MIB was behind the times in that regard.

Now, the question is, what age category red dragon did V turn into (I think that's a red dragon, unless it's a clue to V's gender or something). That would go along way in determining her caster level.

It appears to be the same size as the black dragon, so probably ancient.
(I think that's a red dragon, unless it's a clue to V's gender or something).
I just assumed it was pink because V's magical aura was pink.
That would go along way in determining her caster level.
Ancient black dragons have 31 hit dice, so I assume that implies a caster level of at least 31.

The black dragon is a starting point only. It really depends on what kind of Dragon V turned into.

(Loads up all powerful database... oh wait, it's open due to something else...)

Okay, Ancient Black Dragons do have 31 hit dice. They are also size category huge
This means V had to turn into at least a size category Huge dragon, one that is close to Gargantuan in size.

So, it stands to reason V turned into a dragon that was one age category below becoming Gargantuan.
If we assume Evil dragon type, and bar extra-planar dragons and the more 'extremely rare' examples (i.e Brainstealer Dragons), that leaves us with...

Chromatic Dragons;
Blue: 30 Hit Dice (Old), Green: 29 Hit Dice (Old), Red: 25 Hit Dice (Mature Adult), White: 30 Hit Dice (Ancient)
Orange: 29 (Very Old) (Dragon Magazine Compendium), Purple: 25 (Mature Adult) (Dragon Magazine Compendium), Yellow: 30 (Ancient) (Dragon Magazine Compendium)

Dragon Magazine 356 (Ferrous Dragons)
Chromium Dragon 30: (Very Old), Cobalt Dragon: 32 (Ancient), Nickel Dragon: 31 (Ancient)

Dragon Magazine 343 (Arcane Dragons)
Hex Dragon (Usually Neutral Evil) 28 (Very Old)

Wizard of the Coast Web Published (Gem Dragons)
Obsidian Dragon 31 (Very Old)

Epic Handbook
Prismatic Dragon 28 (Very Young), Force Dragon 25 (Very Young)

My money is on a Force Dragon, Prismatic Dragon, Purple Dragon, or Red Dragon

Given V's new found epic stasis, I'd say Force Dragon was the most likely.

I can't help but laugh at the people raging on the Erfworld forum at how that "violates the rules" of the Erfworld setting when we don't even really know what those rules are in the first place past a comparatively basic framework.

As per the rules (no more than 25 hit dice), V would have been able to turn into a red dragon, a force dragon, or a purple dragon. Then again, V would also need a jade circlet to perform shapechange, unless there's a feat I'm not aware of. Eschew materials is only good for items worth up to 1 gold. It's possible that Shapechange in OotS world is treated like many games do.
