YAY!

And, an explanation of the teleport. Nice.

Actually, this raises more questions.
Like, for example, WHAT PART of the trap did Haley disable? Because going back and finding a dead-end, means they were teleported as well.

Bad-guys go to random combat dungeon, while good guys went to the real dungeon.

How so? I'm not seeing any flaws in his and Haley's reasoning.

Actually, Roys execution reveals to Xyklon and co that there is something up with the dungeons beyond being 'lots of doors that are being marked wrong'.

An attack from outside the Dungeon, or from within the Dungeon Xyklon and co are in, is the preferable method. Using the concealment of the gate as an ambush point is too dangerous.

However, a better plan would be to either clean off all the paint on the doors, or mark the rest of the doors as well. Either way sets Xyklon and co back to 'square one', and gives the Order time to go find the Paladins, and check if the other dungeon doors work the same way and lead to the same point.

Because, quite frankly, if I was defending a Gate in this style, I'd have the teleporting trap to other dungeons, and then a secret dungeon network like Order of the Stick discovered, BUT, none of them lead to the Snarl-Gate. (Method one handles groups without rogues, this one handled ones with rogues)

Instead, the Gate would be hidden under the statue of the dead-dwarf from the Order of the Scrible, or behind something he was looking at or similar.

Also, I'm kind of disappointed that none of the Doors have lead to, or are mentioned, as just dropping you off above a dead magic zone (so you fall into it before you can cast spells) filled with lava, or even send you off plane (like say to Thor's Hall).

Only if it fails. If then, because if done right none of Team Evil will see where they came from. Roy doesn't have any reason to think they'll get a better chance than this. And Redcloak already suspects something is up, so it's only a matter a time until they figure it out anyway.

ALWAYS assume you're going to fail when making a plan against Epic level opponents.

Not really helpful since failure likely means they're all dead and the Order is working on the assumption that if they don't manage to stop Xykon no one else is coming to save the day.

If they can't beat Xykon and Redcloak fully buffed and attacking from surprise from seemingly out of nowhere after Team Evil has been through multiple encounters they're not likely to get a better chance.

So, shift to the Paladins.
Yes, very amusing how they keep getting caught.

My guess is Serini Toorsmuck, the last member of the order of the scribble who created the gates.

Serini Toormuck confirmed.

Also the joke reminds me she was very much on Draketooth's side, and is implied by her journal to fancy him. So very much one the less helpful members to still have around as far as the Order of the stick, and the paladins are concerned.

True.

However, We all know O'chuul is a HORRIBLE liar. All he needs if a few minutes to talk to her, and her not failing her Sense motive check.

"Xykon has destroyed 4 of the Gates, his goblin buddy has a ritual to control the Gate to attack the gods if he captures this one, so we're all screwed unless you help use stop him as!"

That might work.

Also, there has to be a way to de-troll her.

True.

Nothing like slight of hand within slight of hand within slight of hand to screw with someones Perception checks
(also works with nesting traps too)

At first I thought she as saying flat out she KNEW he had tried.
But I am fairly certain the implication is simply she guessed he would do i given the chance... Which he did.
