If Roy is dead again, I'll be upset.

I doubt it. Both Hinjo and O-chul took Redcloak's disintigrates and lived. He may have leveled since then but it's still a fort save for damage, which is good for a fighter.

MittD must have some bard levels to use narrative like that against Xykon - and a few skill points invested in bluff.

Too much foreshadowing for that to actually happen, I think.

It occurs this would be an ideal point for V to get hir body back. The Evil Consolidated guys seem to want to keep the Order around to keep them and Xykon at each other's throats so they might throw them a bone here by setting V loose again.

Also my theory got Jossed on panel. :(

Possibly right before killing him.

It does have to make you wonder how Roy is going to get Belkar all healed up. I'd have to check the D&D rules but I'm pretty sure that if they manage to get another cleric available they might be able to get Durkon back to normal. Even if they do end up bring him back to normal life and he goes home he will still be returning home posthumously.

In order to resurrect Durkon, they'll need to destroy Durkula. No spell, not even true resurrection, can resurrect an undead creature.

Without healing magic, he is going to take weeks, if not months, healing with just natural means to return to full HP, IIRC.

Edit: unless Roy is willing to permit Belkar a week of uninterrupted 24 hour rest in bed with proper care, then he could potentially heal to full in 6-10 days.

One week would probably do it. That's enough for ~100 points of damage and 7 points of Con damage.

There was a 2nd edition spell that could do so, but it was 9th level and hasn't been converted as far as I know.

Then again, I don't think there's a 3rd edition canon Protection from Sunlight spell either.

Durkon specifically wanted to slay Malak to resurrect him as a non-vampire. So clearly thats how it works in the OotS-verse, not via some sort of fancy homebrew spell.

I think the main concern with Belkar is how fast he can heal the Con damage. Elan can take care of an okay amount of HP damage per days since Bards do have healing spells at their disposal. Don't know that they can do anything about ability damage, though, so he'll have to heal that on his own. And Belkar probably lost a lot of Con. Barbarians tend to invest in it fairly heavily and he has taken at least one level in it. Between Durkula and Malack's biting he's probably down to a Con of no more than 3, as Malack told Durkula to leave him with enough to not die. And the ways the rules work, you can still be alive with a Con of 1. If anyone remembers Belkar going into a rage and there being a means to get an idea of how long it lasted we could get an idea of where his Con may normally be. I could see it being around a 14 pretty easy, though. Which means as much as 13 points of Con damage. Speculation, of course.

Either way, he suffered a lot of Con damage. That doesn't really heal over night.

Of most concern is the fight they're in right now, though. He's squishier than a Wizard, as of right now, and has far less offensive oomph.

So much for it having Int 10, it seems.

Also, yeah, she didn't handed the arrows, too, how the heck is suspension of disbelief going to apply here? She might 'teleport' arrows to her hand, but these are still on character sheet, unless Roy has some no amount of suspension is going to help him...

I'm wondering just how much of Durkon is left in there, now that he has that staff he could go anywhere and do anything. Do they make Lawful Good vampires?

Spoiler
Nale destroy Durkon too, or what? Durkula cannot really help OotS fight Elemental save for maybe ordering summons back, they need V for that.
