Yeah, when I lived in Utah I frequented the game store down there that he uses as his studio. It gave me a good chance to talk to him a bit, and yeah his buffer is huge. When I left the area he was sitting on about 4 months of comics.Simon_Jester wrote:Darths and Droids is more fun for me than the main comic.
Schlock Mercenary is special in that not only has the artist not missed an update, he's never even had to bring in someone else to do a week's strips for him like a lot of strips do. Howard Taylor is very good about keeping up his buffer of comics so he can skip writing for two weeks and still be able to make daily updates. I respect that.
On the comic: it's moments like this that keep me reading this comic. Fucking badass.
Coyote: Warm it in the microwave first to avoid that 'necrophelia' effect.

Stopping dragging this out Tarquin! Dammit.
Hopefully him pushing the point is going to lead to his storyline being conclusively wrapped up. I can only hope.

Re: The OotS Thread III
Agreed. At the very least I want a fucking break from Tarquin at this point.

That isn't a very genre savy move by Tarquin.

Re: The OotS Thread III
Unless Tarquin has an ace in the hole, I'm think Tarquin fell into that trap all brilliant or genre savvy villains do, they get overconfident and over-involved in the current battle, even if losing and retreating would cost them much less than winning the battle at any cost.. For Tarquin, I suspect he HAS to win, because he always has before.

Re: The OotS Thread III
So... how many hit points does a Triceratops have? Or a T-Rex for that matter? Taking out the mount seems the obvious way to go here.
Re: The OotS Thread III
A triceratops has 196, an allosaurus presumably has something in the same ballpark.Crazedwraith wrote:So... how many hit points does a Triceratops have? Or a T-Rex for that matter? Taking out the mount seems the obvious way to go here.

Re: The OotS Thread III
Isn't the dinosaur they're riding on called a t-rex? If so, the D&D Wiki has this, which is also on the SRD.
Based of the triceratops stats, their best bet would be to try and grab the psion and swallow her. Trying to engage the triceratops would take too long, even if their dino could win. It would allow Tarquin and company sufficient time to get to the Order for a fight. Take out the source of portals and they have an improved chance of escape.

No, a Tyrannosaurus's forearms are much smaller, and the winged Kobald specifically called it an allosaurus on page 784.Napoleon the Clown wrote:Isn't the dinosaur they're riding on called a t-rex? If so, the D&D Wiki has this, which is also on the SRD.

Ah, I didn't remember that. I was thinking someone referred to it as a T-Rex. Whoops.

BLOODFEEEEEAAAAAAST
Also, shit.
Hopwfully the psion expended a chunk of power points portalling around like that. Miron is still pretty much fresh though. Yeek.

I'm not really understanding what V was looking at here. Was (s)he able to predict where the next portal would come out of, or was she plotting the safest path for Bloodfeast?
