Really not feeling the Flash suit, looks really generic. Like if you slapped on a star and made it blue it would work as a Captain America suit or removed the Flash logo and threw some horns on it it'd be like the Daredevil suit. Plus those lines or whatever looks doofy. Probably just spoiled on how fantastic the Flash tv series suit is.

Cyborg reminds me of a some Transformer from the Micheal Bay movies. Still I look forward to him on the big screen, always a great character in the few comics I read with him in it and the old Teen Titans cartoon series.

But Wonder Woman looks decent. Not the biggest fan of the character because of some of the versions of her but she was fine in BvS even if really unneeded. A standalone movie might work in her favor depending on the tone. Not campy like the Lynda Carter series but maybe a bit more upbeat then the thankfully dead Wonder Woman tv series and most of the DC movies. Maybe not try to borrow from any of the characterizations where she's a man hating wannabe lesbo who secretly wants the cock (thanks Frank Miller!!!), from a civilization that apparently kidnaps men to rape and murder and sells their male children into slavery (I think that was the New 52), or a brutal killing machine like a prototype Batfleck but without all the angst and years of crime fighting that turned Batman into a murderous bastard.

Also maybe not bring back the bondage themes of the original comic books.

I was talking JL before to clarify. But Wonder Woman looks okay, Not much story in that trailer but lots of asskicking. It's good to see they're keeping that up from her showing in BvS.

Maybe I'm over reading it but is anyone getting a weird MCU wannabe vibe from this? I mean is MoS/BvS are a rough equivilent of Iron Man. This is their Cap film. Taking place mainly in a historical setting. Hero in a patriotic costume and quite of bit of emphasis on her shield in the trailer there. Yes, I know that's a ridiculously tenuous connection to make but still...

Have been for years.

Haven't watched the trailers yet, but I'm dismissing the Justice League as a viable movie right from the start. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but you don't put Zack Snyder in charge of a Justice League movie, ever.

The BvS trailers went to shit as soon as they introduced Lex. We've still got time for them to fuck it up but it looks like they've cleaned up their shit.

Better fun than grimdark for the sake of grimdark.

Though Batman and "fun" don't really go very well together.

You can do fun as long as I'm just one player among many, it's Batman-centric fun that doesn't really work.

Well, I suppose Batman makes a good straight man for other characters to play off of.

I always thought the dynamic between Batman and the rest of the team was pretty much spot-on in the 'Timmverse' Justice League series. Come to think of it, that series got most things spot on, they should look to that as a blueprint for the DCCU rather than overrated material like The Dark Knight Returns (yup, I said it).

I for one am tired of grimdark. I'm even tired of the word grimdark :P Let's have some actual fucking fun with these characters, eh?

Buddy where DC is concerned I'm the very embodiment of grimdark and 'I' am tired of grimdark. Grimdark works for me and Gotham. While Clark's out of the picture for the moment he's always been about brightness and hope. I'm not sure what, if anything, Diana was ever about but it definitely WASN'T grimdark. Neither was Barry (granted, he didn't have the levity Wally or Bart did, but he wasn't 'no fun and games' the way I am either).

I'm pretty damn sure they took separate photos of everybody there and composited them all into one image... Superman and Batman especially simply don't look like they're interacting with any of the other characters at all.

I could be off base, but I get the sense from the Justice League teaser that they're going to be without Supes for a while, and his resurrection will probably be a major point in the film.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

The big thing about Superman's death isn't that Superman died, it's that Clark Kent died with him.

People will accept Superman coming back to life. He's already incredible.

But Clark? How the hell is that going to work? They buried him. He can't exactly just show up at the Daily Planet like nothing happened, and he's not going to want to abandon Lois.

Yeah. That's an issue- if Clark wants to return to having a day-to-day life, he's going to need a new secret identity, and he's going to have to deal with a lot of "hey, don't you look an awful lot like Clark Kent," and anyone who knew Clark, and sees him with Lois, is going to be... deeply weirded out.

Well, in the comics they just faked pulling him out of the rubble after a few weeks and said it was a miracle. If we're talking too long of a time frame for that to be plausible it can't be that hard to just say he was in a coma in some hospital and that no one told his friends and coworkers because his ID was missing or something. Weird shit is going down in Metropolis of late. Oversights happen, as do weird Lexcorp hospitals not reporting certain individuals in their care or whatever. There are a lot of ways they could do it.

Three options:

1. He takes on the Superman identity full-time. He doesn't even have to leave Lois, or his mother, since Lois is a known associate of Superman's, and Lois is clearly close to Clark's mother.

2. Reveal that Clark is Superman. Not much point to keeping it secret, since as I said above, its now pretty well known that Clark's loved ones are his loved ones, so they'll be targeted regardless of secret identity.

3. Just make up some story for how Clark is still alive, like saying that he faked his death to go undercover for a story or something. I don't know. Any beurocratic issues can presumably be solved by having Batman throw money at them.

Do something theoretically similar to how the tv show Arrow did it. The courts can declare Clark legally alive after "finding" him in the abandoned port. They wrecked that place in BVS.

To be fair, that sort of thing can and does happen in real life, with the occasional news story saying "if you know anything about this individual please contact XXX so we can find out who they really are and notify their family". It's not common, but it can be plausible.
