Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Spoilers possible)

Post by Shannon »

It's here in NZ and we saw it as a family last weekend. It was better than I expected. Be prepared for different background details and a slightly different characterization for Shang-Chi than in the comics, but it works. The characters are nuanced, and the 'bad guy' has a strong, understandable motivation. He's clearly wrong, but he can't see it for a good reason. Be sure to stay for both post-credits scenes because they feature other established characters and have implications for the wider MCU.

I loved this movie, a solid entry for the MCU, 9/10.

I just saw it today at one of the last screenings, nice to see Wong getting more screen time as well as connecting the story to the rest of the MCU. I noticed Banner still had his arm in a sling, but interestingly didn't seem to be in Professor Hulk form.
