LotR Addition
Okay, what if the Ring Fellowship had the addition of AMEE from the film Red Planet? Would the feline like robot fend off all bad guys and deliver the Ring as programmed or become scrap metal before even getting to Helm's Deep?
Re: LotR Addition
Assuming that the bot's batteries would last long enough, it could probably carry the ring all the way to Mordor by itself and dump it in the volcano without ever being noticed. It would need good navigational instructions, of course, but it's stealth capabilities seemed more than sufficient for avoiding orcs and the like. It wouldn't need food; it wouldn't need water; and it could stay on course to the target 24/7. It could go through the mountains without following an established path, and it would be capable of killing just about anything that DID happen to spot it.Admiral Valdemar wrote:Okay, what if the Ring Fellowship had the addition of AMEE from the film Red Planet? Well assume it has a nuclear power cell that should just about give it 20 years full life, the helicopter drone also has similar power and the nav requirements are input.
Provided it didn't tackle stuff like balrogs, I can't see anything else stopping it in basic fights. The human and feline like fighting and stealth abilities will help no doubt.
