Yoda vs The Hulk

Just got home from the hulk last night, excellent movie I must say.

So for those of you who have seen it,
Instead of the Gamma dogs in the forrest, its Yoda with a lightsabre,

What happens?

Yoda can play keep away for long time, and is faster.

Hulk is still mortal...stronger and much nastier...but he's not exactly Superman here.

yoda is definately not faster than the Hulk, the hulk would run him down in a few seconds flat.

He's a lot stronger than superman,
SupermanII - superman got hit by a bus going maybe 20 mph, and was unconscious for about 5 minutes. It also took two of those Kryptonian henchmen on earth to lift that bus, and they did it slowly...

Yes...let's have that selective blind over our eyes.

As for Hulk's flesh over a lightsaber...probably not too well, he heals extraordinarily well.

I haven't seen the movie; it's always messy when you look at various different incarnations of the same character. Instead of saying that the movie is more canon than the comics, you might want to simply specify that you're talking about "movie Hulk".

I think the original source material is the highest level of canon.

I'm not sure Yoda would really be able to hit him, the Hulk isn't a slow moving lurch.
He was fast enough to catch a hellfire missle in his hands, and his reactions were very quick in hand to hand against the dogs.

I can see Yoda trying to attack him, and then getting flattened after his lightsabre slashed him. I don't think he can do the "hit and run" tactic, he woudln't be able to keep ahead of Hulk,

Okay...let's get one thing cleared; the movie counts worth shit. They are at best interpretations...an elseworld/alter reality at best.

Marvel and DC consider their books highest canon.

Lex Luthor did not try to destroy CA in any Superman book.

Joker never murdered Bruce's parents.

Deacon Frost never became a super Vampire.

GG wore a purple and gree costume.

Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider.

The Hulk needs to maintain contact with the ground to move, and Yoda has been shown to TK starships without too much trouble. He could just hold the Hulk slightly above the ground and then TK his lightsabre over to him to slash him up.

Either that or he could just use the Jedi Mind Trick. "You are no longer angry."

I would say that has to do with how people first came to know of the Terminator. I saw the movies and did not know they were books until about two years ago and even then I didn't realize the books came first like you claim they do.

I suggest Ghost Rider that if you really want to give Yoda a chance of wining you stick to movie hulk. Comic hulk has at his greatest feat of strenght in the comic is destoring a planetiod twice the size of earth with a single punch. You honestly think Yoda has a chance against that?

And movie version is also alot faster than Yoda, he dodged a hellfire missle to the face. I think Darth Wong worded it best in the Dune/SW's best. Just replace Paul with Yoda.

Adn one small nitpick point...simply using Movie Hulk saying Yoda can whup only that form is no more hypocritical then Flash stripped of everything vs Yoda, Yoda stripped of 95% of his powers vs Hiko...etc

Correct me if I am wrong here...

But part of the Jedi's combat abilities, come from being able to have immenent knowledge of what your opponent will do next, and be able to react on that? And that the only opponents who can counteract it are other jedi/sith?

That is the way I understand how the Jedi can deflect blaster bolts with their sword, they instinctively know where to block?

The Hulk may be a tough opponent, but I really don't think he stands much of a chance against Yoda. We are talking about someone that can telekinetically lift him off the ground and then invade his mind at his leisure.

I doubt Yoda would ever even need to draw his lightsaber, and if he did it would be pretty bad for the Hulk.

Yoda is going to have a hard time keeping him up there when hulk claps his ass off. Not to mention that the angry he gets the bigger he gets in the movie.

And wanker might be a more apporate title for someone stating that a totaly underpowered character will beat a being many many times it better in every catagory. Just a suggestion.

Well if you are using Billion ton as your arguement but plugging your ears to the fact that he doesn't do this consistently and has been felled by far lesser things...shows he like many, many Marvel

Know who is the VI? Using comic book incosistently to protest your point? Like blackhole surviving silver surfer getting ko'ed by a brick? He needs leverage to claps his hands? Jump up and clap your hands at the same time. Do you need levage to do that? Yoda is not going to have the tk ability to keep Hulk imbolished in any way except lifting him off the ground becuase that is not a matter of Hulks strenght. Its not going to stop the hulk from clamping Yoda's ass thru a building.
Concession excepted. Hulks lack of flying is not going to help Yoda in anyway. Besides Yoda tk is a form of energy, considering this is the guy that can manipulate energy as if it was matter (As crazy as it sounds) his tk might just be the lervage he needs.
