Who do you think is the best Vampire Hunter of every media( tv, comics, movies, books)

I personally think that Blade is the best Vamp Hunter of all time.

Alucard from Hellsing is up there. As far as I can tell the bastard can't be killed, not permanently. And of course he's so goddamned creepy and sadistic.

Caine from the WoD. He is supposed to hunt down and consume all his wayward children after all. And given how powerful the vamps of the WoD that's impressive as hell.

Yes vamps that hunt their own count. If not would Blade count because he is half vamp

Soma Cruz, from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. If his story continues and he becomes a true vampire hunter, he could be insanely powerful (he has all of Dracula's powers).

Alucard from Hellsing may not be able to die, but he's still not a truly great vampire hunter, IMO. He got his ass owned a couple of times in the series.

My vote is for D, as well. I've always thought his character was the right way of handling a powerful hunter, particularly a half-vampire.

Haven't seen Hellsing, though. I don't recall their being vampire hunters in Interview with the Vampire, considering they were all glamorized, over-sensualized ponces in Rice's work.

On the contrary, he was only beaten twice and neither finished him. Anderson and Incognito were the only two that came close to killing him and they both failed utterly in the end.

The rest were him fucking with his oppenents. He's insane and a major sadist to those he considers unworthy of facing him. He could have killed the Valentine brothers easily and he did when he finally got around to it. Had he acted as he did against say, Anderson he would have owned them easily. He took his time taunting his opponent, torturing them. It was simply him having some sick fun.

Never read the comics. I didn't like how the film was shot and edited. I just hate that MTV-style editing bullshit.

Also, some things here and there concerning the plot and vampires bugged me.

My guess is because Alucard is Dracula (or at least got the name). It's certainly not his real name, but rather what others call him.

Thats a toughie, when I said every media I meant TV, books, comics, and movies. Because you can see or imagine what they are doing. But the same goes for songs as well but only if the songs describes the way in which the Vamp hunters kills them.

Actually, according to the Book of Nod. Caine will not actively hunt down all vampires. He will call them together at the site of the First City and call the names of those who's crimes are too great, and those vampires will be destroyed.

Though if that is enough to count Caine as a vampire hunter. He's the best as I'm pretty sure he could slaughter D and Alucard with both hands tied behind his back.
