The gate movie

Post by Shrykull »

I was wondering if the Dark book shown in this movie actually exists. I was looking for it on Ebay. Maybe it would be a fun read regarding these demons and the mythology behind them, how they were banished, it's version of the creation of the universe (since it said they were there "before the moon and the light of the stars") and how they were banished. And if they are the "old gods" then who are the new gods?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but books and tomes like that are often made up for other works.

Sounds like the classical Necronomicon mythos, really.

It's a movie called "The Gate" in which some boys accidentally perform the steps to open the gate (which is a hole in thier backyard, which isn't fully open to the demon's world yet) to the "old gods" (the demons) world/dimension/universe, starring Stephen Dorff (Deacon Frost from Blade) but he's much younger.
