Spidy vs. Obi-wan

Post by jinx »

Here's a quick verses question for you. who would win in a street fight between the Amazing Spider-Man and Obi-wan circa attack of the clones. Both have precog, & neither would kill unless it was absolutly nessescary. Here's the sipulations.

Round 1: Corsicant (prequil area)
Round 2: Manhattan
Round 3: (tie breaker if nessescary) Rifts

Considering the last Spider man vs. Jedi thread this is gong to get ugly real fast. I'm going to bail out on this thread while there's still time.

A few words for you: Learn proper spelling.

I can't stress that enough. You're communicating in a purely written media here; good spelling is very important.

Dude, watch out. One of the last times I told someone to be coherent, the moron turned out to be autistic, flipped out, and demanded that I be banned...

Couldn't Obi intercept incoming streams of web with his saber, and vaporize them?
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! Obi-Wan in AOTC had his starfighter. Spidey dies a quick and painless death :)

Of course, I'm tempted to ask why jinx stipulated a specific version of Obi-Wan (the slower, weaker AOTC version) while not stipulating any particular version of Spiderman (whose abilities have been rather inconsistent across his many incarnations). Simple negligence, or some prelude to a comicbook fanwhore-style stream of bullshit?

Doesn't matter; this thread is old news, and the last time we had it, that idiot KK threw up the biggest wall of ignorance this side of Darkstar.

As I recall, last time the Spidey side was reduced to claiming Spider-man had abilities that he didn't have, but saying he could on the basis that modified clones of him did have them, and claiming that every incident brought up in favor of the Jedi was an isolated incident that could or would not be replicated.

Also, alot of bullshit from CrossoverMoron was seen.

Basically, their argument was that Spiderman's official abilities and limitations are bullshit because they analyzed pictures which showed him doing things supposedly impossible with his official strength level. When I showed that their analyses were wrong, they started crying in their soup about how unreasonable it is to base sci-fi analyses on pictures

The lack of specifics for Spidy was a simple mistake. I’m a pretty big comic fan so I sometimes forget that there are other non-comic versions of him. I’m referring to the current version in “Amazing Spider-Man.” As far as the Incarnation of Obi-Wan I chose, originally I was going to make the bout between Spidy and “a Jedi” but I decided it was sort of lame not to give you a specific character to work with. As far as I could tell ATOC Obi-Wan was the best representation of the “average Jedi” who received any significant amount of screen time.

As a final note, I also forgot that since all Spidy’s offensive power is physical based, the Jedi TK would nullify anything he could dish out. Damn I really thought this would be more interesting.
