Season 2 Of FMP

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Anyone got any real indepth reviews of the eps so far? I have heard it's a little more slapstick at the beginning than the first season which only really got serious 5 eps in or so. But I'm hoping it answers a lot of the questions left at the end of the first series (many say the second half of that was crap since the first half was based on the mangas).

You can get it for forty bucks in the States, I've got it all fansubbed somewhere though. :)

Good that they started a new series, the ending isn't all that great, but you'll love the humour and the first half of the first season for sure.

See, I am one of those silly little people who like to buy legit copies, so that companies continue to release anime in the United States.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Oh she's hot, she's also a bit of a bitch at times too, but she has a holier-than-thou complex I guess.

I'm probably going to regret asking this, but what's FMP?

Full Metal Panic. Mecha/comedy series, ADV release in the States. This summer's big thing, so to speak. Haven't seen it either.

The first half of the first season is seen as the best since it's based on the original novels and manga. The second half, well, Gonzo can do animation but they can't write a story worth shit, hence my eagerness for a sequel.

It seems like Gonzo productions tend to go sour when they deviate too much from the source material. Those last few episodes of Hellsing...*shudders*

Oh, I see. I know what Full Metal Panic is. I just didn't connect the abbreviation to it...

FMP has a large military influence, for anyone who cares

I say the both halves were crap. Boring humor, boring characters, boring plot, boring fights, uberboring main villain.
In my talons, I shape clay, crafting life forms as I please. If I wish, I can smash it all. Around me is a burgeoning empire of steel. From my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My whims will become lightning bolts that raze the mounds of humanity. Out of chaos, they will run and whimper, praying for me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision. God: the title suits me well.

Hmm. A mecha thread involving something military that Shep has not yet barged into and decided to bash repeatedly. I suppose anything is possible.

I'd gibe it 3.5/5 stars for the first half and 2.5/5 for the second, myself, though some might call me a though judge.

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.
