Alucard vs Imhotep
Imhotep (I think thats how its spelled) from Mummy Returns vs Alucard from Hellsing. I think this is going to be a more interesting matchup.

Re: Alucard vs Imhotep
Tough one.. Alucard rocks my word... but Imhotep was much cooler. He used the Plagues for Christ's Sake, while Alucard was shady. So I'm going with Imhotep.Connor MacLeod wrote:Imhotep (I think thats how its spelled) from Mummy Returns vs Alucard from Hellsing. I think this is going to be a more interesting matchup.

All I know about Alucard is that it wasn't certain that Vegeta could kill him. And DET or not, Vegeta can destroy a planet. So I don't know what Imhotep is going to accomplish.
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster
Very tough call. I'd call it an even match, considering both are supernatural, immortal, and have damn-near godlike powers.

Except that since the OP lists him as of Mummy Returns, he's not immortal anymore.Smiling Bandit wrote:Sorry, should have said: I have no idea what counts as an "immortal weapon", but it seems that Imhotep's only weakness is the Book of the Dead.

I thought he was through most of the early to mid part of th emovie? It wasnt until he faced the Scorpion King that he became mortal again....SirNitram wrote:Except that since the OP lists him as of Mummy Returns, he's not immortal anymore.Smiling Bandit wrote:Sorry, should have said: I have no idea what counts as an "immortal weapon", but it seems that Imhotep's only weakness is the Book of the Dead.

Actually, given what he did with that sandstorm (shaping a giant face in it), that suggests a not-inconsequential TK ability. Remember that he was actually lifting and maintaining a gigantic wall of sand for some length of time, without appearing to even be strained in the effort.Smiling Bandit wrote:Well, Imhotep was cool, but his offense wasn't that great. He could call down plagues and sandstorms, but his actual earthly killing power was limited to his great strength. That said, I'm doubt Alucard could kill Imhotep, either.

I do seem to recall that there was another big example of Imhotep "TK" from the second movie, but I can't quite remember what.
Incidentally, despite the fact both are apparently immortal, there must be some finite capability to their "coming back" assuming that neither has a chance to "recover" for any length of time (in other words, they are both under prolonged effort.) I'd generally guess whoever is the stronger of the two in general will probably come back.
Then again, we *could* argue that Alucard did in fact fight and defeat an Egyptian god in episode 13 (Set?), but I don't really like that argument

IIRC, of course.

Ah. I forgot about that. I thought I was pitting two immortals together OH well, I dont think its quite that grossly outmatched yet either, even though I'm rooting for Alucard (of course.)SirNitram wrote:Quote, the old priest talking to the young hottie.Connor MacLeod wrote:I thought he was through most of the early to mid part of th emovie?
