Best Catwoman
In honor of the Catwoman movie thats coming this summer,i've decided to ask you which of these girls was the best Catwoman?
Added HB even if we haven't seen the movie yet,but by judging it on everyone's reaction,it will suck more than a White House intern.

When I first saw the trailer in the theatre, I exclaimed "That's not Catwoman!". I didn't know how loudly I'd exclaimed that until I heard snickers from behind me.
But the new movie is NOT Catwoman. Never will be. I'm not even going to waste my money on seeing it.
But, the best Catwoman was Eartha Kitt, who my dad often said was the "only black woman I've ever thought beautiful". He also liked BatGirl (Yvonne DeCarlo), who was later Lily Munster.

Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

I'm propably the last person on this board who should be asking this but who of those ladies played Catwoman when and where?Halle Berry, Eartha Kitt and Michelle Pfeiffer I can place, and the name Lee Merriweather dimly rings a bell (actually, for some arcane reason I feel I ought to vote for her-I wish my subconcious came with a manual...) but who is Julie Lewmar?
And Lee Merriweather, what with me being unable to find that manual...
OH, and while I'm a big fan of Michelle Pfeiffer whoever came up with that version of cat woman deserves to be shot.
Repeatedly.
Preferrably in a way that results in an extremely slow, extremely painful death.

'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'

'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Julie Newmar: 1st of the 1966 and possibly the best of the batch since she actually perfected the purrfect voice for it.
Out of all that camp she and Batgirl were the only things to watch

You'll excuse me if I try to forget the existance of that abominable TV series.
As far as I'm concerned, the only good thing to ever come of it was the 'holy rusted metal Batman' reference in 'Batman Forever'.

And besides it took only.....wha...30 years to get rid of it....and Loeb wants it all to return....so.......maybe you'll have another series with George Clooney as Bats and half nekkid chicks running around as Bat-groupies

Sorry to ruin your fun but I have no issues with that.Ghost Rider wrote: Fine...we'll slot in Val Kilmer
My primary problems with 'Batman Forever' are
a)the Suit,
and
b)a Riddler that makes the Joker look rational.
While I certainly would have preferred Keaton, if wishes were horses 'Batman Returns' would have been a much better movie, at the very least...

And no arguement there...let alone the master plan(sucking brain waves?!!!!!!!)
So we're left with .......Keaton. Somehow envisioning Bats at 5'6...ah dammit.
And Returns still had.....oi the pain...rocket launching penguins(seriously WTF!)
You're Bale and we'll leave it at that regardless of how horrifying the movie may turn out...since he's at least got a steely glare

At least that would have gotten them (as stated in the movie) credit card numbers and such-in other words, money.Ghost Rider wrote: And no arguement there...let alone the master plan(sucking brain waves?!!!!!!!)
Whereas in 'Batman Returns' Shrek built a giant battery that would suck electricity from Gotham-what for, exactly?
In some ways I think 'Batman Forever' is by far the better movie.
Don't remind me!!! The very definition of the Gentleman Gangster turned into a raw fish eating freak...And Returns still had.....oi the pain...rocket launching penguins(seriously WTF!)
I flatly refuse to comment on their version of Catwoman's creation.

Personally, 5'6'' or no, I've been rather pleased with Keaton's portrayal of me in 'Batman'.
And let's face it, it's not like I'm always done justice in the comics. 'Hush', anyone?

Gotta go with Michelle Pfeiffer here, she was the only thing that could rescue the 'penguins with strap ons' at the end of Batman Returns... Give us a kiss Santy Clause.

I don't have an opinion on who's the best, but I can certainly say that Halle will be the worst. She's not Catwoman in any way, shape, or form. She's just a ripoff of the Crow and the crappy BOP Huntress in a skanky whore's outfit. Posters at the superherohype.com forums have even taken to calling the upcoming movie version Catwoman In Name Only (CINO) because that's just what it is. The WB's just using a recognized comic name to help sell an unoriginal, cliche action vehicle for Halle.
