Hiro Protagonist vs Neo

Here comes another dumb vs about people you've never heard of!

Neo is the hero of the film The Matrix. He has all these cool powers while in the Matrix but is otherwise normal. For this situation use Neo from around the time of his fight with Morpheus.

Hiro Protagonist is one of the main good guys from Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash. He is a hacker who delivers pizza for the mob. He is also the world's greatest swordsman (or so his business card says). He is allowed to use his katana in this vs.

Compare their performance in the following areas:

Cyberspace duel

Meatspace duel

Hacking skills

Cyberspace: Hiro - He's the greatest swordsman in the world. Neo has some hand to hand training but that's pretty much it at the time. And he doesn't yet have the extreme reflexes he gains later. Also Hiro helped design the Metaverse, he probably has some hidden tricks in there.

Meatspace: Hiro - He is also a good swordsman and martial artist in real life. What is Neo? An emacited, Vitamn D deprived geek.

Hacking skills: Hiro - He helped create the Metaverse, and he still has made some good hacks, including the one about protecting against the visual computer virus. What has Neo done. He's supposed to be a good hacker, but what have seen? A computer program for a friend that even Neo is not totally sure is undetectable.

I dunnop much about Hiro, and I don't really like the Neo character much (nor the actor that plays him), so I'll say Hiro on all three counts.

If it's in the Matrx post-Matrix, then maybe Neo, if he develops his powers enough. Otherwise, Hiro 0wn0rz him.

It's right after the first Neo/Morpheus fight, so Hiro owns.

I'd have to go with Hiro, since Neo is a total pussy until he becomes the One.
