Lambda Shuttle vs. Eureka Maru both with fighter Escorts

Post by Renewed_Valour1 »

Imperial Side:
1 Lambda Shuttle
5 TIE Interceptor
10 TIE

High Guard:
Eureka Maru
5 Shrike Strike*
10 Centaur Tactical

The two forces start 20 light minutes from each other and are trying to reach the same planet. They are both limited to maneuvering without their FTL drives; so they can't leave the system. In addition the sides are currently at conflict with one another.

How does it play out?

This one goes to the AD force pretty much in an instant because of the Fighter Launched Missles.

However Taticly its anybodys game as the AD forces are pretty much blind to the location of the Imperal Force while they(Thanks to the Lamda) can see them quite fine)

The fighters chew up the TIEs, but one lucky pass and the Maru is toasty.

The Maru has survived hits from weapons more powerful than the kiloton level that starfighters are armed with.

The Lamda mounts more powerful cannons, and if it gets off a lot of shots it'll crisp the Maru.

But could it take fifty plus hits from such weapons in a couple seconds?

Depends on where they strike. The Maru has survived multiple hits from kinetic and in one cases two or three PSPs. So you're dealing with the capability to absorb at least a half dozen 22mt missile strike with a few seconds of one another. In some of the fleet battles or Exit Strategies she absorbed much higher amounts of missile and AP cannon fire.
